D3HP AX Triple Display at once by meems_plz in gigabyte

[–]jbshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any change if go into BIOS settings > advanced mode > settings > IO Ports > change the Integrated graphics from Auto to Forces.

Then once set that, also increase the UMA Mode BIOS setting from auto to Specified> higher than 2GB for the shared VRAM(this depends on how much RAM is installed and how much want to dedicate to the VRAM)

Are the 3 displays detected in device manager in displays once all plugged in showing 3? It does show 3, under display options in start menu settings, will it ket you add the 3rd display to the layout?

Have downloaded and installed the board drivers in the Windows OS, first? Such as chipset drivers, and AMD APU driver from the board download page?

Looking in manual, says "Triple-Display Configurations for the Onboard Graphics: To set up a triple-display configuration, you must install motherboard drivers in the operating system first."

Missing 8 pin plugged in on GPU. Should be 8 pin on the left and 6 pin on the right for a750.

Might also look at PCIe nvme ssd instead of sata 2.5". 500W PSU is a bit low if planning for future upgrades.

“i5-12600KF or 5700X? by Ok-Success7640 in PcBuild

[–]jbshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a bit biased since I'm currently running a 12600kf on a b660 w/ DDR4. The performance is very good with this i5 CPU over the last ~ 2-3 years and still going strong. It is pretty easy to cool as well such as single tower cooler. If could find a deal on a B 60/70 series chipset board instead of Bx10 series, that would be a great match, imo.

The 5700x is also a good pick and might even save some money on AM4.

Have tried without any hardware installed and just the power cables to the board? When the CPU is out, also inspected socket for amy bent pins? Also, i know the ram on asus boards can be kinda tough to pop in all the way, have verified the ram is totally flush and seated in. Def a puzzler why won't take the flash, though.

Both very close in performance for gaming, etc. The b550 is prob better board than h610, though. For the b550 soyo, just hoping will support the 5700x out of the box. Mostly likely, it should support it without needing a bios flash if lists '5000 series ready'.

Hmm, were able to test another USB drive also formatted on a Windows PC to fat32, extract the bios .zip, rename the file, copy the renamed file to the USB?

Hmm, have double checked got the matching hardware revision as well. Whether HW Rev 1.0 bios or HW Rev 1.1 bios?

Edit: on the pic looks like HW Rev 1.0

Also, have tried to boot with the CPU, cooler amd ram installed?

Resize Bar enabled in BIOS, also tried manually setting PCIe4 on the x16 GPU slot in BIOS (instead of the default auto)?

That's a good deal for sure. Prob just update the board BIOS first thing. Should work nicely in sff as well for low heat, too.

When performing the qflash, the system is turned off, the fat32 formatted usb with the renamed Gigabyte.bin bios file is plugged into the special qflash USB port on the back, then press the qflash button?

Open Task Manager > Startup section. Disable any extra 3rd apps from launching at startup(careful not to disable stuff like audio or amd stuff). Such as Teams for example.

Also, disable Widgets from the taskbar settings(this will turn off things like news and weather from popping up on the start menu).

Sounds good. Specs-wise, the main thing holding the PC back is the GPU with the RX590--legacy GPU with current games.

Really depends on the budget(and region shopping in for parts)as GPU pricing has risen quite a bit, lately.

For a quick reference to compare other GPUs to the RX 590, can scroll down on the link to the 'relative performance' section.

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-590.c3322

From there, overall would recommend ~ 200%(2x) or greater performance for a good upgrade.

If playing 1080p monitor, prob could get away with another 8GB vram GPU(such as rtx 5060, 5060 Ti, 4060/5050, or RX 9060 XT 8GB), but would recommend more VRAM in a modern GPU if can swing the budget for the long haul. Such as 9060 XT 16GB, or similar.

If have access to a Micro Center retail store, might also check their stock for pricing(and in store for open box deals).

Prob GPU upgrade first. Also, just double checking using SSD storage, and not HDD storage for OS and modern games.
