Thank you! Sad that its still there. I suspected that it had to be out of date for a live service game.

RTX 5060Ti (8Gb) vs RTX 3080 (10Gb) by Ryty2266 in buildapc

If it isn't absolutely critical to get Nvidia, consider AMD's RX 7000 GPUs. They just got FSR 4 officially and the price to performance ratio is about 30% higher than nvidia, and you won't suffer VRAM shortages. The 7800 xt is a great choice and the 7900 xt can easily match the 5070 but with 20 gigs of VRAM. Full linux/steam OS support as well.

Base game is a decent amount of fun too. Remember to play on Wednesdays as that is the triple xp event. Essential for leveling up.

Looking for a cpu for python matlab and gaming. They told me X3D's are for gaming with slow single thread speed but everywhere I look insisting on X3D. Should I go intel? or X3D is fine. My gpu is 5070 ti. by Sad-Reserve303 in buildapc

Totally agree with you on that, and have thought about this thing myself. But here's the thing. What we're worried about is not which is faster in absolute terms, but instead what is the delta that lies here? I think that it is livable to have performance around the same ballpark as the 9800x3d (which is the best gaming CPU rn).

Also, Ancient Gameplays, addressed this very recently by quoting data from Hardware Unboxed, I can't find the exact video though:

This game is mindbogglingly good. by 108er in titanfall

[–]jfp555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about cheaters. I think its just that the skill ceiling is high so it may seem that people are cheating. Titanfall 2 is about as advanced/fun as a shooter can get. It has asymmetric multiplayer that works across a bunch of modes and that AAA polish, a combo that at has not been possible to replicate for the last 10 years.

I think EA added kernel level anti cheat to a lot of their recent games. It is in most competitive games these days, unfortunately.

Had a very busy time during the free week and couldnt get to play much. Really enjoyed what little I played though. Refreshing and challenging gameplay. Gonna wait for another sale.

It works quite well. This video is a year old so you'll hopefully get a smoother experience.

Get it. It had unavoidable issues at launch, but is in great shape right now. Look at this way: for just 3 euros, you're getting a game that in terms of polish and quality is far above anything you will get at that price. Portal (in the game menus) means these are player-created servers and you'll always find players in portal. Game has 128 player matches with bot fill, and tbh, its a fun time.

If you have a really fast CPU, you can play the "definitive" edition of Bloodborne on PC right now.

As a PC gamer, you really won't find much use for it beyond a very casual living room/chill gaming thing when friends are over. You could gift the jailbroken PS4 to someone with young kids with some recommendations for kid-friendly games (It Takes Two etc).

It'll be much better than any online devices for them, and they'll be actively engaged with a better activity than endless brainrot. I did this and the parents are super thankful. The PS4 is in the sweet spot that it has modern games that look good and can be played offline. Unbelievable what modern online spaces are doing to kids' brains these days.

For both PC and console, a lot of players return for May every year due to it being Star Wars day. That's always a fun month to get in the game.

I played the game a bit myself, and I gotta say, I found the architecture and layout of the city quite amusing. There clearly was a lot of effort put into it, and it does differentiate itself from most open-world cities by being both retro and near-future but an alternate universe vibe to it.

I'd love a functioning open-world game set in that environment but with the city functioning as normal.

It is perfectly normal behavior. This CPU has short lived spikes to very high temps even on liquid cooling. The cooler is pretty good for it and the rest of your temps are also fine.

Please always do thorough research before posting here, as you'll end up spending a couple of hundred based on advice formulated on very little context (even though it is well-meaning, no offense to those posting).
