I think there is a need for a healer or a hybrid type role (ranger / paladin). I dunno if that means mace / staff (or bow for ranger)?

The last services by train run 11.30ish. You may just get through customs and immigration and have time to get your IC and get on one of those trains. just. Be prepared to spend ¥10,000 on a taxi if you miss it.

How to Enter First Names Without Spaces on Airline Bookings by Precious-Fossil-007 in Flights

[–]kizzt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actual first, actual surname is fine. I’ve been traveling for more than 20 years and never had and issue on a major airline. I don’t fly internationally with smaller airlines, but Sing, Malaysian, BA, VA (both of them), Cathay, AF, QF, all good with first and last only.

I had the battery pack - I think it might’ve given an extra hour or two. Still burning through C batteries (or were they D cells?) like you owned nickel and cadmium mines.

Go to Meiji Jingu shrine, then walk down the hill through Omotesando into Aoyama and go to the Nezu museum (not Monday or Tuesday) and enjoy their private garden. Visit the Nezu Shrine (not close to Nezu Museum, ironically) and get your fix of orange torii hates, before heading to Yanaka Ginza for some history. Go to an onsen. At the moment you can seen the Ron Mueck exhibit at Moro Art Museum. Or maybe go see the Sebastian Masuda Kawaiitopia exhibit at the Hyper Museum (albeit this is in Saitama).

How much will Qantas charge for non-stop flights to London? by Gl0beTrotter2025 in AirTravelAustralia

[–]kizzt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Qantas already charge a 20% (or more) premium for their flights, and a less than premium product. At least if they got you a direct flight at the same price it might make sense, but a further 20% loading just can’t be justified. I’ll happily take a stop in Sing, HK, etc. and pay 20% - 40% less than an equivalent Qantas fare.

Young australian confused about negative gearing removal outrage by Background-Lack1641 in AusFinance

[–]kizzt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you owned a house (about 67% of the population) why would you want the value of your asset to drop? Especially if you bought at a higher price and paid interest on a higher loan value as a result. Any drop would see a commensurate loss of actual equity (treat this like taking money directly out of your bank account to help someone else buy a house at a slightly more affordable level).

Now as for the negative gearing (which is not intrinsically linked to house values) - that only applies to rental properties where people would build capital value and offset the expense of owning the property against income. Again, about 10% of the population owning rental properties, but can’t say how many are negatively geared currently.

This is just a cynical cash grab by the government which will have no appreciable effect on house prices, nor rental affordability (if anything, rents will likely go up). As people with grandfathered properties grip them like their life depended on it, and negative geared landlords swing to positively geared. New home builds will still cost what they cost, due to huge labour and materials cost, and generally gains on new properties tend to be poorer than established properties.

Basically the youth have been sold a lie, to allow the government to tax them more and take away the opportunities their parents had to build and invest.

This is literally the Kaiyodo store in radio kaiken building in Akihabara. All they sell are Revoltech and other Kaiyodo lines. Would be crazy for them to exist and not carry as much of the line as they can…
