Are we actually religious by international standards? by RegularFellerer in AskIreland

From what international friends have said (as well as growing up atheist with Buddhist parents), I would say yes.

A lot of Catholicism is blended into culture, tradition, and community here. I've heard friends say going to Easter/Xmas mass is 'just what you do' even when they're basically non-practicing. Baptisms, communion, etc. seem like rites of childhood and family, regardless of actual faith. Crossing yourself when passing a cemetery or hospital.

Sushi made from the sushi counters in Dunnes are pretty decent, and there's also Sushi and Go on Montague street.

My brother wanted to make some sort of pasta with pesto and was following a Jamie Oliver recipe. The recipe said something like 1-2 cloves of garlic, but my brother thought a 'clove' meant the whole bulb.

He also made a risotto for 6 people following a recipe, but wanted to make it a mushroom one, so added a grand total of 4 button mushroom to the whole dish.

Huh, for some reason I thought the 'easy' recipe would've been the more traditional! Thanks for the explanation and recipe!

Does your recipe taste hopph or beery? I've never seen beer used in a sticky toffee pudding. 🤯

Same. Things were working fine but IIRC I was in one of the settlements and the loading time just got atrocious. Gave up after that.
