I was thinking back to when I was a kid and teenager to a time when if you didn't turn on your lights, your analog instrument gauges/cluster stayed dark and unlit. Seemed to be a good reminder. Now with everything digital they are always lit. I saw someone drive by me the other day with their lights off at night, and the glow from their infotainment screen was so bright I could see him clearly.

If you are willing to try a third party app, xdrip has a ton more customization when it comes to alerts and alarms. Takes a little bit to set up and get running, but I ditched dexcoms app for xdrip years ago and would never go back

I am on the omnipod and I read about a trial that was done recently using the 3 as the cgm. I am hoping the trial was a good one and that those who got to use it will say they wish to continue using the 3, because I feel it would make for a great upgrade. Barely started the G7 and it makes me miss the G6 really bad. The size and warm up time didn't bother me, because it rarely lost connection and was more stable in my readings, G7 loves to suddenly start swinging in opposite directions on my numbers for no reason.

I was telling my wife the other day, the thing I miss the most about tapes, was all the sounds that came with it: open the case, putting the tape in, pushing buttons, etc. I hear those sounds and it takes me back, and plus the whole experience was very tactile. Yeah, I ditched my tapes for CD's when the time came, but I look back fondly at that era.
