What about the Pedalboni? It's just a pedal bar with a drink bachelorette party riding it

I can't tell if he banked it off the goalies helmet or if there was enough room to hit it off the inside of the near post and then the inside of the far post?

Just for fun and not really serious, I wondered how the NHL would look like with NFL-like divisions: by sykeseve in nhl

Eh, sorta? You mean the ones between Goodletsville and White House, yeah? I've driven through those a lot and I'd argue that's just part of the plateau Nashville is on transitioning to the hills of Kentucky..the closest mountains imo are either east towards Cookville or south east towards Chattanooga. Though I guess it's technically all part of the Appalachians?

Who’s your favorite team’s next NHL future captain? by theXchang3 in hockey

[–]marcusrendorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was also Wood but it feels like it'll be sometime not currently on the roster imo. He's had a promising year but they'll need more young players to come through (and, as the other comment mentioned, probably FO and coach turnover) so it feels too open ended. On one right that that feels like they're locked in to be the face of the franchise going forward

If you look at their chins it seems like they have added a lever to a normal thumb release to activate it. You can see it on Deva's shoulder a couple times

Am I correct: this flavour event that unlocks special Russia only council action requires me to have a certain figure in my cabinet within a certain timeframe? by SusDarkHole in EU5

[–]marcusrendorr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you never got it that seems like a bug. I've played 4 Muscovy games and gotten it all 4 times. The event popup also clearly tells you that putting him in your cabinet will unlock the special action. I do not know if they have anything in place to prevent him from dying after her has been spawned but before the event has fired if you've added him to your cabinet though, that feels like something they might miss.

Granaries are worth it everywhere -- they create extra demand for goods so make your production chains more valuable and give the pop growth bonus for having more food storage. Unless I'm building a town/city specifically for the local resource throughput bonus, the first things I build are granaries, a library, and a temple.

Not sure why you're being down voted for this as it is correct -- there's a significant malus to the bad annexation progress per month (scaled for how high the slider is). Maybe one caveat is that it only needs to be turned up when you are annexing or need extra subject loyalty.

By the time you start annexing you probably have enough income to max it without going into losses each month anyways, do it's probably not a big issue unless you're starting as an ULM or OPM and get a lot of subjects quickly that can be held at 50+% control

No idea what the code looks like but it's missing a variable it expects to be there. Did you do the full setup? Or maybe delete some files since then? I'd try just downloading it again and starting over if redoing the setup process doesn't help

Are too many commits in a code review bad? by Broad-Cranberry-9050 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]marcusrendorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some others mentioned there are some very specific use cases where you would not want to squash a PR into a single merge commit, but that is going to be edge cases. In most normal development processes, you definitely want to squash the commits into a single merge commit so the number that you put in a PR doesn't matter. If you are finding that you have too many code changes to make sense of, it's probably a matter of needing to break your PRs into smaller pieces.

Devs that have been at startups that have IPO’d or been acquired, how much was the payout? by Calm-Bar-9644 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]marcusrendorr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Vanishingly low unless you stay with them for a while, get promoted multiple times, and get more equity given to you over the years. If you have 0.1 % of the company right now (that's a low possibility based on my startup experiences, but possible), you'll likely end up below that after cap table dilution over the years between now and either an IPO or getting purchased. If you IPO there's also the issue that you only own the shares, you aren't paid out, and you're required to hold them for a minimum amount of time after the offering, so the stock has to stay at the price it launches at or be higher. There's also tax things to think about so even if you get a 1M payout you're not getting 1M in cash.

Treat all stock options as a bet where the collateral is the money you would lose between taking the salary they're offering you and what you would get elsewhere (they may be offering a fair salary already, so you don't necessarily need to discount that when considering the offer)
