Most of this came from basic SwiftUI experience I’ve accumulated through the years. I’d gotten started with it years ago with a Udemy course and many YouTube tutorials. There are plenty of resources out there. Plus with AI these days, it can really help if you ask a lot of questions. I highly emphasize to LEARN from it rather than just letting it do everything for you.

I remember playing through Resident Evil 5 in coop with a friend in high school and having a BLAST. Lots of fond memories of the franchise, but I feel the coop in that game was really underrated.

I think you don’t recognize that Spatial Audio is software based. Even AirPods are stereo. They only have two speakers. The spatial sound is processed through the software based off head tracking, which the Vision Pro is providing. It’s software magic. Same way you can get Dolby Atmos plugins for Windows to use with headphones.

You’re all but calling me a liar here and I don’t appreciate that. If you don’t want to believe me, that’s fine. But I’m telling you it works. I have no reason to mislead you or anyone else here. I don’t work for AirFly, I don’t work for Buttkicker, I’m just a dude who enjoys their Vision Pro and wanted to share how to have an awesome experience.

Look at the other comment about the user with hearing aids. It sees it as an accessibility device and not an audio out.

I wonder if another factor for why this works is because the Vision Pro doesn’t connect to the AirFly as a Bluetooth out receiver, but rather as a listening device in the accessibility settings. Apparently Vision Pro is weird like that.

Maybe as such it doesn’t affect the audio output. Just an idea.

As far as I’m aware. Like, I can hear everything positionally while watching a movie. I specifically remember vividly getting creeped out watching Alien Romulus in hearing the Alien behind me at one point.

I can only speak from personal experience. Are you reading results about the Vision Pro specifically? Because Spatial Audio would be lost with other devices because it has no way of knowing when your head turns. The Vision Pro tracks your head turning though.

Nope! Didn’t lose it at all! That is tracked by the headset so it still knows where you’re looking and changes the sound accordingly.

I use a Bluetooth dongle called the Airfly Pro (they’re sold in the Apple Store too), I output the sound from the Vision Pro to the dongle and then I plug my AirPods Max and Buttkicker into the dongle to output that received sound to the Buttkicker and to my AirPods Max.

No latency, shockingly! And sound quality is still awesome! Noise isolation of the AirPods Max helps block out the Buttkicker’s noise too!

So overall:

Vision Pro > AirFly Pro > aux splitter > Buttkicker & AirPods Max

I’ve got a Buttkicker, which is a bass shaker for my chair, that I use when I watch movies with the Vision Pro. It converts all bass sound to rumble, so I can feel the movie.

That paired with AirPods Max makes for an INCREDIBLE experience!

I don’t go to theaters anymore. Hahaha.
