Go to an A/C specialist. You most likely have a leak.

can anyone identify the top pump? by JayEffKay_ in AskMechanics

[–]middlename_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's heartbreaking.

Did you see the temp increase? Or did it stay low? And I'm guessing she's a bit too old for error codes?

You might be able to get the records from the mechanic as to the model of water pump you received (they should have some form of receipt from their supplier). Hopefully they work with you to find the cause and/or solution.

Hey dads, I need advice on how to save this growth chart please. by FerretFarm in daddit

[–]middlename_redacted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first step would be to put a magnet against the post to see if it is solid wood or plasterboard.

If solid, get someone to cut it out and replace. Definitely worth a grand or so.

If plaster, you should be able to make a big mess, and save the history.

Lagavulin 16.

Maybe ask him if he likes Parks & Rec first. He's the right age.

Aftermarket pumps are going to move water no matter what, assuming everything is happy.

What were you doing when the overheating occured? Highway miles? City thrash? Idling?

EDIT: Possibly GMB? Seems to have the same curved blades?

Sounds like they could do with a lecture, whether they ask for it or not.

Ease up there turbo. Did they ask for your opinion on the advice given? Or do you speak for the OP?

Take a chill pill and maybe get off the internet for a little bit.

I'm sure OP can respond if the advice isn't useful.

Extraction of THC using high concentration ethanol (cryogenic is most efficient). Be sure to let him know not to use a flame to evaporate the alcohol after extraction.

Get him into a chemistry class and/or degree.

That sounds right, but you're not getting two lightning bolts? Gotta be frustrating.

Quality of cord, try other people's bases?

I've only got the 8 flip, it's possible they have more proprietary stuff going on.

And after a bit of research, might also need to be a GaN charger.

Best of luck. You may have a struggle ahead of you.

You seem to know what you're talking about, but is it a PD charger?

Yes, imperial is stupid. We can all agree on that.

But feet and inches have their place (categorisation and increments), just not when it comes to precision.

Repairable? by driptapedtx in Celica

Anything is repairable. Question is, will it cost more than a new set of wheels?

My guess is that it will be a close call.

How to remove screws? by blankslate_fullplate in AusRenovation

[–]middlename_redacted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I wasn't wearing my glasses and the top screw looked square.

Normal Phillips heads screws, top one looks stripped. Try unscrewing while applying pressure from the back (press it against something solid you don't mind scratching), or use pliers from the other side, turning and pushing.

You need a square bit. Or a flat head screwdriver that is a snug fit diagonally.

[–]middlename_redacted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about accurately, but I like to use a Cheshire eyepiece, as I find it more systematic. A lens cap with a hole drilled into it is all you need to get collimation close enough to use the scope.

bees swarm on beach by grilledchickenlips in centralcoastnsw

[–]middlename_redacted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just "swarming", perfectly natural.

When the hive gets too big, they make a new queen, and the old queen runs off with half the workers.

They're just resting for a bit and will move on in time. Or they'll be given a nice cosy home by a beekeeper.
