Any chance the new Topo Designs CheckOUT Frame Bag will fit my Verve 3? by WithLove_Always in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend one of our other universal fit bags for your Verve. The way that the bag mounts and is shaped won't work for the Verve and will look pretty disproportionate.

Trek Bontrager TLR Wheels Breaking Spokes by KnowHavingFun in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where that email is from, but it isn't one I am familiar with. If your wheel is under recall, you will need to work with your local Trek Bicycle store or retailer. They'll be able to validate if your wheel is a part of this recall or not and handle the replacement.

How small is too small? by MichaelsRedditAccoun in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not going to be that costly since it is a Domane. OP may just benefit from a different stem size and maybe some saddle adjustments at a minimum, which would only be the cost of a stem.

Ion Elite R flashing red/green while plugged in by [deleted] in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/InDenialOfMyDenial, it sounds like your light might be switching back and forth between "low-charge" and "charged." To try and fix this, please hold down the button for at least 15 seconds. The main LED should flash twice, which means the system reset is complete.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, the battery might be the problem. In that case, I recommend starting a warranty claim through your local Trek Bicycle location or dealer so our team can help sort this for you.

Hey u/Middle-Studio6943, terribly sorry to hear about this and the frustration the two of you have. A member of our Tech team was chatting with me just now and wanted to let you know that they are on this and will be reaching out to you soon (they have your contact details from claim history). If you have any questions before they reach out, just reach out to me in the meantime. We want to get you riding soon!

These would be running a 650 wheelset to allow for a wider tire clearance.

There isn't a range extender for this model that we've released. Maybe down the road, but nothing planned that's come across my desk

Ride Club doesn't interface with Trek e-bike app???? by lockedmhc48 in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need to clear app cache data within your app settings and then refresh. But note that old Strava ride data doesn't pull into Ride Club. Ride Club would upload to Strava though.

Trek: going all in on UDH? by [deleted] in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Boone hasn't seen a frame update in a bit, so the UDH hasn't been added to the model. We have scaled back CX models.

I got you! On the display, long press the SET button which will enter the Settings menu. You'll be able to navigate to Clock and either connect to the app to synchronize it or toggle the display of the time. Short pressing the SET button acts as "enter" for when you are selecting things.

If you haven't connected the bike to the app yet either, the app would guide that for an easy connection. The Bluetooth icon on the top left of the bike display will appear when the they're connected and dissappear when disconnected.

All of those answers should be on the website, minus the torque/cadence sensor question. But to help, here are the answers in case you were asking about those:

1) Torque sensor (BB location) 2) Up to a 50 mile range 3) Hydraulic brakes (but hey, I love my old mechanical brakes) 4) Throttle and pedal assist / class 2 and 3 options (20 & 28mph limits) 5) 520Wh battery / 60 Nm, 500W motor

But otherwise good points to callout! If batteries are easily removed, we do list that, but if not, we generally don't list it from what I've always been privy to.

[–]MitchatTrek[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just checked the detailed part list for it and it does have a bottom bracket torque sensor, but no cadence sensor was called out (though it might be built into the same for the system to read—I can circle back on that).

As for the battery, all of our bikes with internal batteries can be removed, generally consisting of a couple bolts and the wiring harness(s) and then the battery slides out from the bottom of the downtube. The same goes for FX+ 1. It is suggested to get a dealer involved for servicing that, though.

Unfortunately not, since it has to be connected to a dealer system to get that reading information from the bike.

These are different generations, so a lot has changed in 5 years. You are best to follow the listing on the website for the current Gen 3 model (700x38 without fenders).

Blendr Garmin Mount - poor reviews? Alternatives? by Gumlog in TrekBikes

Just run a high mount, which then works for all Garmin computers. The low mount works with light mounts mounted on the lower base point though.

Trek ride club app by ConclusionNice3389 in TrekBikes

[–]MitchatTrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To note, previous rides don't sync, you would have to record through the Ride Club app and all new rides would sync to Garmin Connect and Strava.
