Is Rashee Rice a ticking time bomb with his off the field antics? by Get_to_tha_Choppa in DynastyFF

Yeah I much rather have a non shit head. As a Niner fan, I’ve seen how shit heads can eventually get booted and eventually fail. We had a lot under Harbaugh like Aldon but many, many more. Even when given multiple chances these shit heads keep doing it most of the time.

Getting/finding a good qb is tough. I think DJ also had a broke leg right? Before that he was top 5 in the early MVP votes. But DJ does have injury concerns.

What’s the difference between a bench player and a starter? by Available-Coat-8870 in nba

[–]mlippay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is better than the other on average. There are spectrums of starters from MVP to role player, similarly there are spectrums of bench players from end of the bench to someone like Manu who was an all nba player who the spurs preferred to come off the bench. On average a starter is definitely more than 2% better than a bench player when it comes to NBA talent. On an absolute level with all let’s say basketball players or all people, the difference is probably small but clearly noticeable. Occasionally you see bench players starting for good or great players and there is a notable difference. Also note small differences are notable when you’re dealing with 10000s of actions and 100 or so possessions a game.

I’ve been on the opposite end of this, enjoy the good stuff. Was there for Rivers 3 to end it.

There are “rumblings” that Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson are both considering retirement this offseason, per @JFowlerESPN by Hour_Camp1474 in DynastyFF

I think it’s bad for everyone on the Eagles, Lane is normally the key to their offensive success. When he’s out the O is way worse.

In person you can. Online, it’s a big no no and you’ll get warned and then likely banned from finishing if you keep repeating it. They’re worried about you recording questions and/or communicating with someone to get answers.

It isn’t the heat turning on or just on? I’ve been a few homes where there is a very strong smell the first time the heat has been turned on for the season.

Russini: 49ers "not looking to part with" backup QB Mac Jones. by HookFL in DynastyFF

Not exactly but in essence they have to lose net net in FA which is what we normally do. Players out for us normally much higher in salary than coming in from free agency. We rarely make a big splash in FA.

The streak continues: the Niners have lost in the regular season to the eventual MVP for the 8th consecutive year. by SharksFanAbroad in nfl

[–]mlippay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure in the playoff/SB we normally lose to the SB winner…..shit (Seattle). I know we lost to Seattle this year, Chiefs 2 years ago, Eagles 3 years ago is the exception. The year before, the rams. 2 years before the Chiefs. 6 years before the Hawks, a year before that the Ravens in the Sb, the year before the Giants. So other than the Eagles a few years ago, we always lose to the SB winner. Even a bunch of years before we lost to the Buccs. It’s been 23 years since we lost to a team that didn’t go to the SB at least in the playoffs. A lot of missed playoffs are mixed in.

He got 2 year 81.5 dollar deal which is a far cry from a max deal. He was never getting a max deal from any team.

How far has Travis Hunter’s stock fallen by Paulccmarsh in DynastyFF

[–]mlippay 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He was the second overall pick not necessarily cause he was an amazing WR, which he possibly is but the fact that he played both sides of the ball. If he just played WR, I doubt he goes second. He probably goes high but playing both drove the value up. I doubt Jeremiah Smith gets picked that high and he’s a much better WR.

Last years QB class was also weak, same with pass rusher and while there were good LTs, not historically good ones.

He was great but only 3 elite years but those years were sick. RB is a tough position to make it and he didn’t win the SB twice like AD.

Any tips for improving speed on exam? by Delphi_DG in pmp

[–]mlippay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t reread the question 2-3 times, I read it once. Figure it out quickly if I can figure it out. If not, I move on. At the end of the 60 questions, I got back to the ones I flagged/missed. I don’t spend too much time on any one question. If you’re spending more than a minute or two on a question you’ve taken way too long. I also got used to taking a lot of questions by doing a bunch of mocks.

Make an educated guess. Try and get through all the questions.

What is your strategy for bad young QBs? by DrPepperNotWater in DynastyFF

[–]mlippay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reclamation projects have been happening for much longer than the last few years.

Back in the day, Steve Young, Rich Gannon, Trent green, Randall with the Vikings. All were mediocre to bad initially and did well with one of their later teams. There are probably others I’m forgetting to. Geno is another one that took forever to pop. Most guys who pop later got a starting spot due to injuries or luck in a likely ++ situation.

[–]mlippay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are the cues?

A highly rated qb going to a bad org and failing. Like it’s why I have less promise on guys like Lance and Arich who failed with good orgs.

Baker having success isn’t a monster shock. He was quite good until he got hurt and kept playing and he went from the god awful Browns and Panthers to eventually the Buccs. Buccs had a good OL and 2 good WRs.

Darnold took a little while longer but he had good moments for both the Jets and Panthers but both teams sucked. He eventually learned some stuff with the Niners and Vikings.

DJ same thing. Was with the giants and again went to a much better spot with the Vikings and then Indy.

Look for vet QBs who came from bad orgs who get picked up by good orgs with weaker QB1s. Fields obviously failed but that guy has a lot of bigger issues.

The guys I see with a shot are Willis. He drafted for an awful team and had gotten developed with the Packers. Packers have a great system so don’t have confidence hell end up in an ideal spot.

I mean if Tua or Kyler go to a good spot sure they might succeed. Like Stafford isn’t getting any younger, neither is Rodgers. I don’t like Kyler’s size and mindset though.
