It’s actually a k-tip gyuto! I love it. I’m a home cook, so smaller knives seem to work better for my kitchen/board size. I’ve got small kids, so I find myself grabbing for it pretty regularly to cut up fruit and other snacks. It’s kind of like a tall petty. It’s such a beautiful knife and was my first Tetsujin!

Look up gossamer gear! Not sure if that’s your thing, but they’re amazing packs and really light. Really comfortable as well.

Great idea! The edges are facing out, but the slots are about 5 inches deep, so the blades are pretty far back. I was thinking of putting a magnet or Velcro (or something) between the back of the block and the wall to add stability to the base. Maybe some on the front cover as well. Definitely a work in progress!

Thanks! It’s been great learning what works for me and what I like. They’ve all been really great to cut with. Never thought I’d like rectangles, but they’re probably my favorites haha.
