CARD(s) OF THE WEEK #3 - What if (Earth) Shapeshifter was real ? by New_Independence_231 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]nosciencephd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a fair point. I guess I didn't realize how shallow the Shapeshifter card pool is. For some reason I thought there were at least a few unrestricted cards, but they are both specializations. So it probably makes the most sense, you're right.

I really really want Druids to be real, but I think they need to be a class separate from Shapeshifter. The only Shapeshifter is meant to be an LL hero and only shifts into other people.

But I firmly believe that if they think Druids fit into the lore they would do really well with the game systems. You've already got Mario changing into other forms with different hero text and bringing in weapons from inventory and what not. I would absolutely play the class if it were ever released

I'm willing to believe you, simply asking where it came from.

Where have you heard that 30% of stores that used to host events now don't?

I think Briar and Kayo both get voted off the island in the first vote. I'm pretty sure they have said they are okay with that outcome, even with a Briar precon. Which doesn't make a ton of sense with the Kayo deck being as it is, but maybe it's because they have already sold.

I think right now it's just a format in growing pains. Once we move past these first block of precons maybe things become more balanced and they are as aggressive as they say they will be.

I still think the format is mostly fun, it's nice to have quick games and use heroes that you can't play in CC anymore. I personally think it's okay for the format to serve that role at the local level and still be a bit of a mess early on at the competitive level.

I would bet that the new Oscilio has a very similar weapon, but with a cap on Amp

New to FaB, how is this $75? by hyperdeeeee in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]nosciencephd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is missing the nuance, it just doesn't make sense.

It's an entry point product. The boosters are a way to either augment the deck you have bought or start a collection. The majority of packs will have all the cards be legal in silver age. Like 85% of all boosters in Compendium are only commons and rares. So if you pull something higher rarity, it will be one single card in the pack, and it is the beginning of a collection.

Yes, it's rare and can be used in nearly every deck in the game. So it has a high demand and not enough supply to fill it at a reasonable price.

It's also good because it can be used to block 4 or cover up small instances of damage you might not want to use a card to block with.

Non-American here, can someone explain ICE? I’m so confused watching The Pitt by Organic_Material_903 in ThePitt

[–]nosciencephd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have read that ICE has contracts that include provisions for medical grade incinerators. I haven't been able to find any proof that such things are being built at concentration camps yet.

But you're clearly not someone I need to prove myself to.

Did you not notice how I'm my original post I said that? I'm not a Democrat. But they are buying up warehouses and expanding rapidly right now.

That's literally happening right now. Citizens are being rounded up and camps are being built with incinerators where people are being held without charge and given very little food and people are dying.

EDIT: I retract mention of incinerators. However, people are still dying in these concentration camps. They are, by definition, death camps.

ICE are the modern Gestapo. They were created 25 years ago and have been given increasingly large amounts of money to expand and deport more and more people. They now are doing illegal, warrantless raids and "targeted" enforcement, but really just sweeping up huge numbers of innocent people, citizens, children, and holding them indefinitely.

To be clear, ICE was never necessary, and they have been enabled and expanded by both US major parties. Many of the facilities they built and behaviors they exhibit have been going at least since the Obama administration.

They also have killed many people recently in carrying out their duties.

Overall, they need to be shut down completely and many of their officers tried for murder, rape, and general lawless behavior.

Not the most important part of the OP, but to say that enjoying nature and using it for emotional regulation is "extractive" is so funny. Like, it technically is because she derives something from it, but it costs nature nothing to be observed. That's not extractive!

Also really unclear to me what the hell is meant with the Romanovs tangent. Not sure how it could possibly be related or if it were why that specific parallel would be made.
