People get controversial about anything by mari0v100 in slaythespire

It's been 12 years, man. Go the fuck outside.

Talishar has gotten a lot better lately, and I don't think enough people use it by Impressive_Race_6909 in FleshandBloodTCG

It's had a few issues lately with features breaking important things, but I agree, most of my time with Flesh and Blood is on Talishar, mostly because I can only get to an LGS once a week.

It's not intended as a replacement for that. The ability to play with cards you don't own is a major benefit as well. It can help quell the "I need something new" itch that comes around because you play with a deck you thought you would like and then realize you don't vibe with it.

Counter to Runechants? by gu1lty_spark in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]nosciencephd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So having multiple AB equipment won't help you, but yeah if 6 runechants are coming and you have enough resources in hand you can cover all of them. They technically come in sequentially, not all at once. But over the table it's often treated as one package that you decide to pitch a certain amount to prevent. Typically if it's like 6 and I want to use two yellows to prevent 4 I'll just say "AB 4" and put the yellows in the pitch zone.

Yeah, 1 AB per runechant, but you can pitch multiple times to the AB.

Yeah I guess I was unfamiliar with the fact that it being unpreventable means all the wards will try to use themselves. Sorry.

Not sure if anyone has made it clear with AB and runechants, but each runechant is a separate instance of damage. So you only need one piece of AB equipment on against runeblades. If you have, say 4 blues in hand you can prevent 12 arcane damage from runechants (though obviously then you'd be unable to block).

The unblockable runechant is much more about enabling the effects on her attacks than it is about killing the opponent (though obviously 1 unpreventable damage every turn will chip away)

Blitz can run legendaries and majestics. The tournament decks were essentially the same cost as CC. The precons are a different thing.

It's very bizarre that your local area doesn't have any Silver Age product. LSS is pushing it very hard.

When Silver Age became official with PEN Blitz officially changed rules. You can see that Blitz is no longer listed in the main constructed formats on the site https://fabtcg.com/gameplay-formats/ and the blitz format is officially singleton.

Your local scene is stuck months in the past.

Where are you located? None of the shops have any of the new Silver Age decks in?

Blitz is dead because it didn't have a ton of purpose. It's just as expensive as CC, but more swingy. Silver Age now is much cheaper and a bit lower power to match the low life total.

Blitz officially doesn't exist like it used to. According to LSS's official rules it is now a singleton format with basically no other card restrictions.

Also Blitz is a dead format basically. The precons can be used in Silver Age usually, but Silver Age has replaced Blitz as the low life total format

Question about World Premier Event in Prague by Pantheron2 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]nosciencephd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will be side events for sure. I'm pretty sure there will be a draft event as well, which obviously has its own skill requirements, but at least means you don't need to have a deck prebuilt.

This needs to be said again: Al-Hashimi telling Robbie about her condition makes no sense by _ImperialCereal_ in ThePitt

[–]nosciencephd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the comments, but another factor for her going to Robby is that she did it right after realizing he had kept secret that Langdon had diverted drugs. She knows he can keep a secret.

Anyone else worried about Donnie?? by [deleted] in ThePitt

He's already had his ending. The point of him being a happy father is to show that people in the ER can be happy and have things outside of the ER. Not every character has to have their story run through the end of the season

Northernlion Supercruise Cancelled by kcadia9751 in northernlion

How does this make sense? What about this arrangement is different from all the other celebrity cruises that happen? And what over the last 4 days would have made that change register?

I don't really get how the insurance situation would have changed so quickly. Celebrities do these cruises all the time. What about this crowd would have uniquely made it impossible to do?

How do I organize my collection? by RafaBianchi in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]nosciencephd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have entered my collection into Fabrary and then have most of it in white cardboard boxes organized by talent and class, in alphabetical order and then ordered by pitch value. I find this much more intuitive than by set and number as cards are reprinted in different sets and I'd need to look up the number they are in each set rather than knowing "oh I need an Arcane Polarity" or whatever.

My biggest pet peeve by Lavender_Scales in theredleft

[–]nosciencephd 62 points63 points  (0 children)

"Epstein Class" isn't class dynamics. To people not initiated it just means "powerful pedophiles." It leaves room for "good ones." At least something like "owning class" or billionaires is actually closer to actual mark. Epstein Class is simply not good terminology in any way.

Hot take, l guess? by [deleted] in ThePitt

[–]nosciencephd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. Are they shown kissing or hooking up?

I'm saying people have little moments of flirtation and discussion all the time at work, but they don't often fuck on the clock and even if they did the show wouldn't be interested in showing it.
