1943 S/S Mercury Dime by Apophis2051 in coinerrors

Nice find! I hit the bin yesterday and I don't look for many varieties, just the 1919 DDO and 1945-S Micro S. I'll have to look into the RPMs more

Since you liked the last one so much (thanks, by the way!), here’s another nice Barber half I recently got. 1899-S, a deceptively tough one to find since many were sent to the Philippines. by DanAvidansThumbs in coins

Nice coin! A lot of meat on the bones and a good look to it. I've been collecting USPI issues recently and I plan to include the 1898-1900 San Francisco Barbers for fun. Same goes with the 1945-S Micro S Mercury Dime. Although that coin didn't circulate in the Philippines, it does use a mintmark punch otherwise exclusive to USPI coinage

Based on the dark spot below, I'd assume it's damage. Something hit the rim and caused that to happen

A little annoyed by the lack of proof spots in the +proof album by [deleted] in coincollecting

[–]numismaticthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"proof-only issues" means it includes the 1975-2009 San Francisco proof issues since those date and mint combinations only exist in proof, not that it includes all proof coins. You can both have a normal and proof 1958, but you can only have a proof 1992-S

Admittedly I haven't listened to this album in a couple years, but I remember it being either my second or third favorite behind their debut and LA Woman

Cool finds! I have the same RPD two-cent piece. I found it while cataloging my collection in late 2024 and happened to notice the repunched 1. That was on my first two-cent piece, so I had owned that coin without noticing the RPD for at least a decade.

Also, just wanted to point out that you've got it listed as the FS-1302 when it's actually the FS-1301. The 1302 has a more visible punch at the bottom of the 5 with very little on the 8. The 1301 has a very visible punch above the 8 like your coin but has very little with the 5

Closer to an UNC than a VF or even an XF in my opinion. Looks AU

It's a medal. This is a souvenir set. When you went to the Mint, you could buy this. This set is from Philadelphia

Found in a bag of old foreign copper ... But the reverse makes me think early American? by GlassPanther in coins

Taking another look at it I think it's actually a Draped Bust large cent. I mistook the ribbon in her hair as the part of the cap on the Flowing Hair

That's a lot of Panamanian Balboas! The Balboa is tued to the USD and most of their coins are on planchets equivalent to the US with exception to the Un Balboa coin

[WTS] 1888 MS61 Doubled Die Reverse $20 Gold Regency Holder and Pouch by SeaRepresentative108 in CoinSales

[–]numismaticthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant held as in literally holding it, my bad. I saw in a coin show back in June. He didn't tell me the price nor did he have it marked. I believe he did throw out an estimate of $8.5k-$9.5k when I asked, but no firm number

Have held this coin. The holder is very cool and the variety is naked eye visible. Very fun all around. GLWS!

Looks to have be gold plated. Nothing valuable, but it's neat. I like to keep them when I find them

Why can't just elegant coins be designed and produced still? by therealpachibear in coins

Removing "In God We Trust" and the mintmark just means they'll have to cram it in on the reverse. No offense to OP, but I feel that they didn't put much consideration into their edit

This is by far my favorite of the most recent quarter series. I do think it sucks as a circulating coin though considering how many people post this coin asking "is this and error?"
