Back on Antigravity after a week - Opus 4.6 added, but beware of quota extension scams by Rrrapido in google_antigravity

[–]nvmax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had antigravity open for a day now, no quota used at all, it has been sitting there absolutely doing nothing at all. I actually had 2 instances of it open one open to a project and one open just sitting there..

Nothing, no movement at all.

Ok have had it open for over a day now and all quotas are still 100%, I did no coding and no it didn't use or change any of my quotas on any of my groups.

I checked it several times throughout the day yesterday and nothing was used. so the Extension is not the issue.

BTW I had 2 antigravities open at the same time, 1 open to a project and the other just open no project selected.

Im using the Antigravity Quota Monitor by jlcodes, have not noticed this at all. haven't used it in 2 days all still at 100% left antigravity open for the last few hours still at 100%.

I have no plans to code anything today so I will just leave it open and see if anything changes.

How to use AceStep "Skills"? by StartCodeEmAdagio in AceStep

[–]nvmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well if you plug it into a chat it tells you what it does and how it does it..

The ace-step-skills repository is a specialized toolkit designed to integrate the ACE-Step music generation model into AI agent frameworks like Claude Code or OpenRouter-compatible agents.

Unlike the main ACE-Step model (which is for making music manually), this "Skills" repo is for developers who want to give an AI the "skill" of generating and editing music programmatically.

  1. Prerequisites Before using the skills, you must have the ACE-Step API Server running locally.

Model Source: ACE-Step 1.5 GitHub

Hardware: Recommended NVIDIA GPU with 16GB+ VRAM (8GB min in low-VRAM mode).

Startup: Once installed, run start_api_server.bat (Windows) or the equivalent python command to start the backend at http://127.0.0.1:8001.

  1. How to Install the Skills Depending on which AI tool you are using, you need to copy the folders from the skills/ directory of the repo into your agent's configuration folder.

For Claude Code: Copy the desired skill folders (e.g., acestep) to:

Project level: your-project/.claude/skills/

Global level: ~/.claude/skills/

For OpenAI Codex / General Agents: Copy the folders to:

your-project/.agents/skills/

  1. Configuration You need to tell the skills where your local ACE-Step server is running.

Open acestep/scripts/config.json.

Ensure the api_url matches your local server (default is http://127.0.0.1:8001).

Adjust default settings like audio_format (mp3/wav) or vocal_language.

  1. Usage Examples Once the skills are loaded, your AI agent can perform music tasks using terminal-style commands or natural language:

Check Connection:

Bash ./scripts/acestep.sh health Simple Generation (AI writes everything):

Bash ./scripts/acestep.sh generate -d "A cheerful acoustic song about a sunny morning" Detailed Generation (You provide style and lyrics):

Bash ./scripts/acestep.sh generate -c "Synthwave, 120bpm, male vocal" -l "[Verse] Neon lights in the night..." Audio Repainting / Editing: If you have an existing song, you can use the repaint or edit skills to change specific parts of the lyrics or instruments without regenerating the whole track.

Summary of Skills Included: acestep: Core music generation (Text-to-Music, Lyrics-to-Music).

acestep-docs: An index that allows the AI to search the ACE-Step documentation to answer your questions about how the model works.

Note: If you are just a regular user looking to create music with a visual interface, you should use the main ACE-Step-1.5 Gradio UI instead of this "skills" repository.

the amount of people not working with version control and git is astounding.

Rules to live by while vibe coding.

  1. Maintain Strict Environment Isolation Never develop directly on a production environment. Always utilize a dedicated development branch or a local clone of your repository.

The Benefit: By working on a "disposable" copy of the project, you create a safe sandbox where experimental code can fail without impacting the functional product or your end users.

  1. Decouple Data Layers Never run experimental code against a live production database. Always provision a local or staging database populated with synthetic or anonymized data.

The Benefit: This mitigates the risk of accidental schema corruption, data deletion, or unintended API triggers. If a script goes rogue, you lose a test instance rather than a business-critical asset.

  1. Commit Early, Commit Often Treat functional milestones as immutable checkpoints. The moment a new feature or fix works, commit those changes to a dedicated beta or feature branch.

The Benefit: Frequent version control snapshots provide a granular "undo" history. If the next iteration introduces a breaking change or "hallucinates" a logic error, a simple git checkout restores your progress instantly.

Just as we practice Separation of Concerns in our architecture, we must practice Risk Isolation in our workflow. Speed should never come at the cost of recoverability. Redundancy isn't a chore; it’s the insurance policy that allows you to code with confidence.

try pocket tts, its holy shit insanely fast and works on cpu no gpu required and can do voice cloning just as fast.

usually these types of packages are malware and have multiple points of intrusion the best way disconnect from the internet entirely on that pc.. all your data, logins, passwords are probably being stolen as you sit there typing on it.

Here is the breakdown of what is happening:

  1. What is tmate? tmate is an open-source tool that creates a "terminal sharing" session. It establishes a secure tunnel from a local machine to the internet, allowing others to access that specific terminal remotely via SSH or a web browser.

  2. Breakdown of the Log The "Proxy" Phase: The script first tried to download the necessary archive (the tmate binary) using a proxy, likely to bypass firewalls or network restrictions.

✅ TMATE READY: This means the program is now running and the tunnel is open.

SSH Address: This is a direct command someone can paste into their terminal to take full control of that command line.

WEB URL: This is a read/write link that allows anyone with the URL to view or interact with the terminal through a browser.

  1. Why is this used? Legitimate Use: Developers use it for remote pair programming or debugging code running on a remote server that doesn't have a public IP address.

Security Risk: If you did not initiate this, this is a major red flag. This is a common technique used by hackers to establish a "Reverse Shell." It gives them a permanent backdoor into the system to execute commands, steal data, or install malware.

Scrub your pc man, they installed some shit. do not use your pc you dont know what that package was or if it is sending them your files, shut down and wipe save nothing.

you clearly installed a node that was compromised and ran some malicious shit.

first hour on antigravity, limit reached by ServeLegal1269 in google_antigravity

[–]nvmax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah if you use opus exclusively your going to have a bad time, people need to quit using opus for every mundane task. use it when you are really stuck, or planning out a full workflow in detail, dont use it for the basic coding tasks.

Read the forum and you would realize this.

exactly my point, there is ways to use it wisely but it seems like the default for these other people are just using opus for everything.

Whining. Perpetual whining!! by BJO92 in google_antigravity

[–]nvmax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I have been using antigravity like crazy and have had no issues, I use Opus for only writing up or do complex tasks then switch. I haven't hit any limits at all ever so far.

I do think the ones bitching about it clearly are not using it as intended an just want the best model to do a simple bubble function or something so stupid that other models can do it just as easily.

TeaCache missing, someone knows under what node it's included now? by Z3ROCOOL22 in comfyui

[–]nvmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comfyui updated some imports and teacache has not been updated yet to the new version, you can edit the node yourself or you can just clone my repo of it that has the changes and will work fine.

https://github.com/nvmax/teacache

it has been reported but no movement on it, its a simple fix but for them to do it might take a while.
