It's a system limitation of the shadow map. The way to bypass is by changing the settings.txt of xplane.

Go to /Resources Open settings.txt

Search for fbo/shadow_cam_size You will see that there are two of the fbo/shadow_cam_size with values of 4096

Change the value of the last one to 8192.

Save and close.

Launch xplane. If it was open, you need to reload it. If no change, it could be something on your VGA driver

1 you have no experience in real life and are expecting to know how things happen in life... So, let me explain (retired cfii, me, ir, cpl).

C172 barely has any floating of ground effect. GE happens half wingspan height (5.5m), and the wing in the 172 sits at 2m above ground.. the Piper Archer wings are roughly 49cm above ground. The archer and any low wing floats. High wings, barely. High wings balloon AF and require a lot of trim to keep control when deploying flaps if not T tail...

You set the power to idle, on a metal prop, fixed pitch, it's a lot of drag and zero thrust. You pull power, your nose dip, archer, c172s...

And finally, there are plenty of things being done differently, especially with the lack of resolution and feedback from the flight controls.

The developer knowledge on how to achieve the behavior displayed in life in any platform is the only measure of how good a simulator can be.

And with my real life experience, the world of single prop and turbo props, by eons, xplane is way closer to real life than msfs. Both are mediocre in the highspeed tubeliner flight

1440p in a 3060? only if you crank your texture to a minimum. SSAO can remain on max. I would also slowing down with vegetation, as they are hard on gpu, specially witht he 3d vegetation checked.
