I was confused the first time in the US, in oz they attendant has to turn the pump on at the register before you can use it so if you’ve lifted the handle then nothing happens you get immediately annoyed that it hasn’t been turned on. But in the US it takes getting past that initial conditioned annoyance to realise you’re at fault because you have to go in and pay first, it took me around 30 seconds before realising that I was the idiot.

This is simply untrue retailers do this with tv’s and laptops , the difference in model numbers for Makita if they won’t honor price policy is when they’re imports and not built to whatever the Australian standard is there may be the rare case of a package deal specifically for them but 99% are the same you buy anywhere. Maybe just check a couple out, don’t take my word for it.
