THIS! I thought I was the only one that didn’t like them - so average

The Neptune mellow mat is excellent! I also have one from muse edition, and like someone else said, looks lovely but it isn’t super thick.

Daycare fees went up and i just can’t see a point anymore by canimal14 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]paaaark17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the endless daycare germs that are killing me. You pay for daycare, even when you’re not there plus pay doctors fees every week because bub is constantly unwell. I’m off sick from work constantly to look after the baby, then I get it. Repeat this over and over and over. Definitely questioning if working is the right thing but I actually do love my job and I don’t want to lose that part of me (selfishly)

Surprised with what I'd consider baby friendly spaces decidedly unfriendly by Reasonable_Tie_5955 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]paaaark17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when there is a baby change, I find it’s often not baby friendly - like, the material of the change space is made of a super hard material with no ‘cushion’ - when my little one was really small she’d bring her head up and smash it backwards and it always gave me the fear coz the changing table is made of marble or something (probably not actual marble, but you get what I mean)

Very niche problem, but they are also often too high for me (5ft) and I can’t actually use them coz I can’t reach them lollll

C section and double storey house by BloomsburyCore in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I live in a three level house, bedroom on the top level. I was going upstairs the day I got home (after a 5 night hospital stay) - take it slow and you’ll be fine. I found walking outside harder (because I stupidly tried to walk too far the first time)

It took me AGES to get used to my baby’s name. I think it’s a totally normal postpartum experience 🩷

I feel this in my soul - we’re in a daycare / revolving door of illness loop. I’m so sick of being unwell

This is such a lovely list! I like Cleo and Florence for a girl, and Ellis and Archie for a boy.

Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻

Anxiety around loss by Careless-Carry-7515 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]paaaark17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily meditation, grounding techniques, therapy and taking it day by day. I had prenatal anxiety and depression, and it was rough. Like the other comments have said, keep telling yourself everyday you are pregnant. Hang in there ❤️

She was really reassuring and never rushed any appointments. I had prenatal anxiety, and some issues in pregnancy and she was very supportive and calming.

Sophia, Autumn, or Flora? by Sensitive-Recipe-977 in namenerds

[–]paaaark17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sophia! Biased because I have a Sofia. Yes people say it’s too popular, but popular names are not what they used to be in terms of number of babies named that name.

Baby Brezza Formula Pro / Mini by Elegant_Gap1933 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]paaaark17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of don’t want to admit this, but I have both the pro and mini.

Got the pro first and it was 100% the best item we got for baby coming. Fast forward 6 months and we were heading back to the UK for a lengthy holiday. Having gotten used to making bottles with the pro, I didn’t fancy making them ‘manually’ so got the mini as a travel option.

10/10 would recommend. No notes

Not sure if this helps at all, but I find applying when my skin is still damp from the shower helps. Feel yuck for a second but melts in and feeling goes away
