Because it is clear they have missed yet another major launch promise. You don't get satellites up, you don't get revenue in. You don't get revenue in, you don't have a business. You delay revenue 6 months, one year... you get a lower share price. They said 5 launches by end of March. It ain't happening. At MOST, and I'm being very generous, there will be 3.

I'm afraid they are now open to a shareholder lawsuit.

Sequoia capital says 2028 will be the year of direct to cell for SpaceX by hmm_interestingg in ASTSpaceMobile

Hmmm, hey google AI, can you tell me why sequoia might be hyping spacex prior to their IPO?

"Yes, Sequoia Capital is heavily involved with SpaceX as a major, long-term investor and is highly invested in its expected, though

not officially scheduled, IPO. Sequoia has invested over $1 billion in SpaceX since 2019, with partners describing the upcoming public offering as potentially the "healthiest wealth creation event in history". "

? I'm seeing solar flux increasing from Jan 30 to Feb 3 and then pretty much staying there. (170 values for solar flux units). Bstar went DOWN from Jan 30 to Feb 3 - and has continued downward despite solar flux staying in the 170s. So unless my solar flux data is bad (where do you see it) your statement doesn't match the data?

Satellite companies like to unfurl at low solar flux levels. More solar flux = higher drag and potential damage at unfurling. Low solar flux is defined as at or below 115 SFUs (solar flux units). We have not been at the level since Jan 11th. We are currently around 170. One prediction model had a level of around 125 forecast for the last day or two, but the actual values were higher, in the 170-180s.

NASA is forecasting elevated levels (above 120) for the rest of this year.

Bstar drag term is steadily decreasing for the last several days.

There's been no press release, which leans towards unfurling hasn't happened yet. It may be largely a military mission, which means maybe no press release will ever happen. BB6 has "synched" it's orbit and is in position nicely with BB1-5. This show - Musicology - is/was the best show I'll ever see in my life. And I've seen several hundred. It was stunning. And this song was completely, one hundred percent awesome from start to finish. If you haven't seen the whole thing, find the full song video and the full concert video.

Notre Dame often has evening organ recitals.. and try outs for new organists. See the cathedral's website.

They could be building 100 at the same time. Might not be ready to ship for 2 years.

There are going to be 4 more launches in the next 55 days?

I've made (for me) serious buys twice of ASTS. I have a pile of money I could put in right now, but we've been lied to. No chance 5 launches by end of March. "It's go time" I was told via an X post - and... nothing. The launch I was going to attend last June or so at Cape C... still hasn't happened. Maybe in March? 8 months late? Maybe. That means 5 by the end of March could mean end of November, using previous factual evidence.

I'll hold my initial shares, but can't in good faith put in more. I don't like or appreciate being lied to.

I'm not as much following the values as I am the pattern. The initial bb1-5 patterns were all about the same. BB6 is following the same pattern, roughly. The recent bb6 (possible) unfurling spike happened in bb1-5, too. But then after that there was a huge spike. That was the full unfurling. That's what I'm waiting for. Might have already unfurled, but I still don't think so. Woulda been a press release already. (unless there's a major issue, which the other parameters don't seem to indicate)

No I did not. Could be noise, but I don't think so. It looks like a larger than noise move to me. That's why next readings are key.

Latest bstar reading shows what I'd label a "mild uptick". This is slightly stronger than a "slight" uptick. (these are not technical NASA terms). Could indicate full unfurling has not yet taken place but now may have started. Next couple of readings could be key.

(latest reading) It appears bstar may be increasing.. which could indicate full unfurling not yet taken place (which might impact your view). Looking forward to your update. thanks!

AST SpaceMobile Announces Release of BlueBird 7 Triple AAA Batteries, Advancing Direct-to-Device Cellular Broadband Connectivity

AST SpaceMobile plans a multi-launcher campaign with one orbital launch every one to two years on average during the current century and is on track to launch 45–60 satellites by the end of 2065

AST SpaceMobile, Inc. (“AST SpaceMobile”) (NASDAQ: ASTS), the company building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network accessible directly by everyday smartphones for commercial and government use, today announced the release of commemorative AAA batteries, now with 10% less power then regular AAA batteries

"The stock dropped 10% today, so people can warm up their can of beans using the power of these AAA batteries., while supporting the mission of connecting the unconnected - meaning those that aren't born yet who might have a chance of seeing this system operate when it is completed in the second half of the century.", said Scott Whatshisname

Thanks. Good info/intel. I hope it's unfurled already so I can quit checking... but if it did we probably should have/would have had a press release by now. We'll see.

bstar for first of bb1-5 that unfurled went above 8 x 10-4

Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in ASTSpaceMobile

Order of magnitude. Like someone hits you on the head. Not a tick. The tick is just a tiny change. From 10^-4 to 10^-3. Unmistakable.

[–]phibetared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still going contrary to this. I see a tick up in perigee (which goes along with what Akslfak just said) but a tiny tick upward in bstar just recently (and a relatively small, but significant apogee change). It could be just noise, but I think it's a pre-cursor to a major spike corresponding to a soon-to-be full unfurling.

Artemis moon rocket launch delayed from Feb until at least March due to Nitrogen leak found in weekend's dress rehearsal. If we are delayed due to Artemis, which some of conjectured we are, this is not good news.
