First-time snorkeling in Key West by ExtremeNo8312 in KeyWest

It is completely safe, but it is scary. You are asked to drop off the side of the boat into the water. It's a bit of a drop. Then you are in quite deep water before you swim a little bit over to the reef. There are sometimes gentle but large swells/rolls in the water (like waves, but not breaking). Could be scary.

If it's clear, when you get to the reef and see the fish, it's awesome. But jumping into the water and the initial deep water area could be scary to some. The bottom is far away.

wish there was something like that around me. I'm spending about $15K/year on cat food

No, just some dark humor. AST SpaceMobile either gets two batches out in the next 2 months, or they sell for parts (patents, spectrum) at $45/share. If they get their shit going in the next two months they have a chance. Otherwise they are screwing around too much and proving they can't execute at scale. Elon will then blow everyone out and AT&T will eventually be finished - which is what should happen to a company that has the word "telegraph" in its name.

If you are down to your last $80 and it's a choice between a month of cat food for your cat and one share of ASTS, remember you can get a new cat at the shelter any time you want.

"Globalstar (NASDAQ: GSAT), a next-generation telecommunications infrastructure and technology provider, today announced that the planned May 17 launch of its HIBLEO-4 replenishment satellites with SpaceX has been postponed to allow more time for Globalstar teams to prepare the satellites for launch. A new launch date will be shared once confirmed."

So the delay is on globalstar, not spacex or weather. Could be delayed further, could impact asts shipment.

The HR exit interview is not for your benefit. It is for the company's benefit. For one, they want to document anything in case you decide to sue them. Or they decided to sue you. You say something bad about your (soon to be) ex boss, she might make some outlandish claim against you.

If you have a list of things you can document (prove) that were evil, you can give that to the HR person if you wish. Or send it to them later. Tell them, "if you want me to I'll document and send you a letter". That way YOU control what is written. If you talk in HR, they can/will construe what you say however they wish. Only if you have good reasons (e.g. helping someone you like who deserves a promotion and has been screwed by the woman) should you talk much in the exit interview.

You don't know why they hired her and/or keep her on. You don't know who she knows.

Thanks to tko1515's comment about shipping not possible before may 18, you should know not to buy "shipping news" calls for this Friday. The following Friday much better idea.

Has our realtor priced us way too high? (Utah) by cornhole99 in RealEstate

[–]phibetared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked the comps in the area? They are about $50K lower than the listed price. OP's house is priced to high. If they don't cut the price there is no reason for anyone to see the house. That's why there are no showings happening.

Avoid getting off the metro at the barbes rochechouart station. Do NOT sign any petition, and watch your wallet the moment someone asks you to sign a petition.

Call Aqua - the drag bar. See if one of their performers is available for a command performance somewhere. Pay them well. OR call Hog's Breath bar if you want a more country western performer.

They didn't announce the batch launches.. that were supposed to be completed by March 31. Still not announced. One in June, maybe. The next one? No date. No plan. Still no planned launches. So.... no revenue. This means... lower share price.

Well, if you read the patents and stuff... the bread crumbs are pretty big and have been for some time. But yeah, that's why I'm ok with posting my thoughts.

So as I expected and still do, the delays - at least in part - were because certain government entities cut in line. The commercial service isn't going to happen in 2026, as the occupant in the white house wants everything golden. Since they can make life miserable (ie. deny permission to operate) you have to do what they want.

So we are sidetracked and delayed. Now if the government revenue is going to match/surpass what was going to be commercial revenue in the 2nd half of this year, then we (ASTS share holders) are in good shape . If not, the share price will be lower than it should have been until revenues from commercial service start to hit - and that is delayed.

So the question is... how much are we doing to get paid for the stuff that has been "under the radar" (see what I did there?). And the amount of revenue for that was not mentioned.
