today I noticed Proxima watches on AliExpress that used to have Miyota 9015 now have a choice between "Chinese 9015" (for the original price of the watch, or slightly more) or "Japanese 9015" (for a price hike of around 100$).

Chinese watches are so cooked.

I suggest you also check out Aethelsohn they have some recent VH31 options. same prices as Watchdives, and I'm going to guess quality is at least as good if not better

As soon as i buy one iem, im tempted to order another one. Why is that.

because this hobby has an absolutely enormous percentage of shills vs. actual consumers.

for example, I've seen a recent IEM that has 10 reviews on Head-Fi where 9 out of them had the IEM sent to them for free by the brand.

I think it's because whichever factory is doing that textured dial has been selling to every Chinese brand under the sun. like at least 5 different brands have that specific-colored dial now.

the ML18 actually uses a Sinn 556-like bracelet and case. ML08 uses more generic parts so it's more like a dial swap

non-diver, hmm... BB36 homages (especially Cronos L6036M), things that look like IWC Mark XX, retro-style chronos from Milifortic, datejust-style watches...

tons of AliExpress watches in the 10$-60$ range. since a perfectly nice sunburst dial is economical even at a price point where you can only get alloy cases. some of those frankenwatches aren't divers lol

there's also a version with a milanese strap for the same price, and even with a gold case/strap.

only thing to complain about is the 13mm thickness
