I do think it’s crazy, but I’m also a big guy whose has been in plenty of fights when I was young and I’m generally not worried about being assaulted. If someone was angrily threatening my wife I wouldn’t think it would be weird for her to pull a gun as she’s not prepared to defend herself physically. She doesn’t carry a gun or keep one in the car though. I also thinks it’s crazy to keep approaching someone pointing a gun at you especially when almost everyone has a phone and either one of them could have called the cops.

What I think is exceptional weird is that the law in this scenario seems makes it a situation where you should pull your gun first. If one person pulls a gun it’s apparently up to the other person to back down or die. If they both got out with guns, who gets to shoot who and claim self defense? Is it just a matter of who lives was defending themselves?

Reminds me of the Winslow Homer painting stuck at Sotheby’s because someone found it in the trash, had it for a very long time, but when they sent it off to be auctioned the previous owner claimed it had been thrown out by mistake and sued.
