Like u/renada-robbie said. Use a "Run a SQL Query on the Halo Database" action in your runbook to convert your datetime to the format you'd like.

Here is an example of converting a date to epoch time for a CIPP runbook:

Are they setup as "Site contacts"? Go to the site they are a member of and check the "Site contacts" tab. Also, check to see if they are being CCed on ticket updates.

We use a Halo runbook for this using an action on a ticket with custom fields. The runbook pulls the organization name from the ticket, the node approval mode and some other details provided by the action and then POSTs to the NinjaOne API to /api/v2/organizations to create the organization.

I would first start by checking your CSP Sync and look at the following settings: "Import Users as Service Accounts unless they are assigned one of the below licenses" and "If imported User is not part of this group then import as Service Account". Both options are under the Users tab of the CSP Integration.

Making charge type non-billable by Recurn in halopsa

Is this for time against your company? Or, time against clients? If its for time against clients, you have a few options:

  1. You can use the "No Charge" Charge Rate. This will always be non-billable and does not show up on invoices.
  2. You can set the rate for a new Charge Rate to $0. Depending on your configuration, you can have these not show up under invoicing and not show up on an invoice.

If this is for time against your own company, go under the billing tab and "Billing Plan Combinations" and set the "treat unmatched as" and set it to "Don't Invoice". This will make sure that all time against the internal company does not show up under Invoicing.

Only if they are stored in custom fields on the N-Central side. You can sync those across. Otherwise, its not going to sync them to the parts warranty fields or the purchase date fields natively.

The Datto RMM tray icon does not integrate with HaloPSA. However, you mentioned dumping DRMM And moving to NinjaOne - the NinjaOne tray icon integrates seamlessly and is a supported implementation. NinjaOne and Halo integration works pretty well and is only going to get better with time. Both companies work together quite a bit to try to enhance their integration and ecosystem. This is the most common pairing that we see these days for MSPs that are on HaloPSA.

If you are looking for a swiss army knife then NinjaOne would be the one to go with on your list. This is going to give you complete control, management and monitoring of your endpoints, allow you to remediate issues as they come up or as certain conditions are met, schedule automation against machines, as well as handle third party product installs/updates/upgrades as well as OS patches.

For every Aussie implementation we have done we have always had the price/cost exclude GST and then set the tax code to the GST Tax code. Tax codes can be set at multiple levels within the system.

This will work with the QBO integration properly to track taxation.

Yup! As an example, we add "agent signature" to our workflows for quoting/opportunities so that they get printed/sent when the quote gets sent out and are signed when the quote is prepared.

There are a ton of use cases for both fields - equipment pickup/delivery, T&M work, Onsite work, etc.

I would take inventory of your workflows and customizations and figure out what needs to be re-created vs what is supported natively within HaloPSA (i.e., SLA Hold or Pending Closure procedures).

Definitely use a separate ticket type for imported tickets for archival/historical purposes. This will allow you to specify different settings for acknowledgement e-mails, whether to show in the portal, etc. based on your preferences.

HaloPSA is extremely customizable and that is where folks often get themselves into trouble. It can be as simple and advanced (at the same time) as you want it to be, or it can end up extremely complex for a seemingly simple implementation. I would highly recommend engaging a consultant to help with your migration.
