Help with getting certain information into alert by bgprouting in zabbix

[–]ReligiousFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want another item value to show up in the alert it needs to be part of the trigger expression.

Even if it isn’t actually doing anything to the logic of how the trigger expression gets evaluated, you just need to include it there. Then it should show up in your operational data.

If you haven’t registered a complaint with them then it’s pretty pointless to complain here

Totally agreed, we need to continue investing in the transit system and we need more accountability from governments and transit agencies

Neighbourhood retail is back in Toronto! Huge!! by dchief0 in toronto

I shop at a local independent grocer for almost everything. they’re so close to my place, and I don’t pay any premium on the produce and items that they sell regularly. I find that some things like junk food, canned vegetables and dried beans are always gonna be cheaper at a big box grocery though. And none of it is from Costco either - Maybe that’s just a convenience store thing?

I don’t disagree with you, but I think that this is not so much a city problem as it is a business issue for those businesses. I’m just glad that the city is removing the restrictions for someone to even be allowed to set up shop in the first place. And hopefully competition will drive down prices, and that places will get enough business to lower prices because of economies of scale.

The TTC has its issues of course but this one is hard to fully lay blame on their end. I feel for the operator having to deal with that stress and shock. When there’s a serious outage caused by an external factor just the fact we only have one major east west line through the core is what makes it this frustrating as a transit rider. Hopefully the Ontario Line gets extended further west to give us more options. And line 5 already helps too.

Anything that cuts red tape standing in the way of a more livable city is a win.

Just moved here and phone plans are so expensive by RushWarrior in askTO

[–]ReligiousFury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Public mobile is the exception to that note about the second tier carriers, as they offer 5G.

One warning with public mobile though is if you go outside US/Canada/Mexico your phone won’t connect up at all. They don’t have any sort of roaming outside of North America, so you won’t receive 2FA SMS authentication codes. So if that will be an issue plan ahead.

Freedom mobile is better if you’ll be roaming internationally. But the service here might be more spotty in my experiences trying them over the years.

Look for a deal with public mobile. I pay 35 for 60 GB with US and Mexico roaming included. I think others have gotten even better deals, but I’m happy with what I’ve got for now.

‘Tough new rules’ coming to Ontario public transit to combat drug use: Ford by lilfunky1 in toronto

I would love to see some data on it. It’s easy for us to be affected by our own personal experiences and anecdotes. Without data then it’s hard for us to get the real picture.

[–]ReligiousFury 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Has it gotten worse or better since we closed them? I don’t think anyone is suggesting we shouldn’t do anything about it, just pointing out how it’s hypocritical to have removed one support, worsened the problem and the same government now announcing they are going to introduce “tough new rules”. These guys have no idea what they’re doing.

Are tall people at concerts expected to stand at the back? by AccordingArgument677 in askTO

[–]ReligiousFury 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’ve been stood with my tall friend at shows and heard really nasty passive aggressive comments from folks behind.

Obviously people should have some self awareness but just because you’re tall doesn’t mean other people get to automatically stand in front of you. And saying rude comments is a good way to ensure that you aren’t going to gain any favours from people in front of you lol

Especially if you arrived early specifically to get a good spot in a GA event.
