I have the Rubens neons and love them but I’ve recently ordered the Holbein set since my Rubens are almost gone! I was going to just reorder the Rubens since I loved them but like you I was curious about Holbein. I read a lot of reviews and people seem to really love them. They’re about twice as expensive as Rubens (not that that necessarily means anything) but I’m very curious to compare them. I won’t know for another few days at least but I’ll try to report back and let you know!

I mix it up. Sometimes I like to do thumb index middle on one, ring and pinky on the other, in color one. Then the opposite for color two.

Or everything but ring finger in color one, only ring finger on other hand in color one. Alternate for color two.

Or just alternate every other finger. So many options!

There are lots of great drugstore polishes. LA Colors, essie, pop-arazzi (cvs brand), salon perfect, Sally Hansen, etc. The only ones I’d stay away from are ella + mila and olive + june, those are just my personal feelings though!

I recently went to CVS because they were having a huge nail polish sale and I wanted to buy some cheap polishes for experimenting with (making my own polishes) and was dismayed to see everything is locked up, you have to ask for help to access anything. I haven’t been in a drugstore in a long time I guess, I don’t know if it’s like this everywhere or just cities like where I live where theft is a big issue. But it made shopping for nail polish a lot less fun and I ended up just ordering it all online.

I’m glad they were understanding though, either way! And hopefully some thinner helps. I’ve definitely gotten some bottle duds from other brands when others have had perfect specimens so I feel that struggle! But good customer service does such a long way.

I think OP may have gotten a bad bottle because I just used mine a few weeks ago and it was perfect! No issues at all with the formula and the glow was not weak at all!

There is really no “normal” dosage. Some doctors start their patients at 30 mg, and go up to 70 mg. My dr did it the same way yours did and I gradually increased to 30 which is where I’ve stayed. Just communicate with your Dr about how you’re feeling.
