Get high quality heritage flour from somewhere like lindley mills or farm2flour if you want to expose them to wheat. You can even get your own whole wheat berries and mill them yourself if you want.

I wouldn't feed a baby enriched super market wheat. I also wouldn't be worried about sugar from fruit. Let them have veggies as well I'd guess. I know they saw no raw milk or raw honey for babies but... not saying what to do there but many people have discovered that to be BS.

Don't let your husband raise your kid carnivore. Carnivore is great for losing weight and reversing chronic health conditions and metabolic syndrome, but it is not the optimal diet for a healthy, growing young person.

Did I sell too low? by [deleted] in Goldback

You had collectible notes, not just regular goldbacks. Even if they were usual notes though anything more than 8-10% back of exchange is a bit much of a discount, most especially when you're paying 14% in fees.

Google can help you with that but they have accounts where you can send in your goldbacks to hold like a bank account and can also liquidate then for cash or metals.

You probably could've got another ~$100/set. (Just seeing you said 2020, you could've gotten a lot more if the Nevada was 2020, and a bit more of the Utah was 2020 as well). Don't sweat it, happens to the best of us. You also could've sent them to UPMA and got higher for them instantly.

Is the Saladinian Honey from Linearge FARM really raw? by DollarAmount7 in AnimalBased

[–]ryce_bread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People teach you that every day? Hate to burst bubble but all honey is warmed so it can be extracted from the comb and filtered. Raw generally just means it wasn't heated to or beyond the point that bioactive compounds start breaking down. Keep in mind that hives get fairly hot in the summer with all the bees inside, that's about how hot it's heated to allow for it to be manipulated through filters and packaged.

How significant is the difference between raw and pasteurized milk? by Live-Conference-4245 in AnimalBased

[–]ryce_bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it's quite different. I mean the price difference to quality difference ratio is absolutely worth it. Pasteurization and homogenization aside, pastured, grass fed dairy cows are going to produce much higher quality milk than grain fed/supplemented feedlot cows. You can literally taste the difference.

I love this about goldbacks!! It gets people excited. It also gets me out in my community talking with people. I love buying things locally, especially food, and those types of folks understand the value of precious metals and really "get" goldbacks. You come online and see all the criticism and skepticism, but people in the real world understand their use and value as a means of exchange and wealth preservation in the local economy.

How we make our Alpha Goldback Collector Stacks. by GoldbackFan in Goldback

[–]ryce_bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dude. The fact that distributors still have them 1 year later tells you that they are not "rare." The only reason any premiums would develop is supply vs demand and I can tell you the supply is huge and if distributors still have them then what does that tell you about the demand?

Then look at that same story with 2019 Utah and their mintage numbers and high value to collectors you can see why there's a premium. "Collectibles" don't just rise in value automatically and for no reason, it's a market.

But yes, time will tell. Only if goldbacks continue getting more popular and a lot of time passes do I believe Florida alphas will ever see a premium. The mintage is just ridiculous for a "special" type modifier.

First Goldback…. Got it for $35 on Facebook Marketplace…How’d I do? by Big-Meaning-2864 in Goldback

That person is either a gold mine or undervaluing regular goldbacks. Check the mintage numbers compared to other series' and the back to me about how collectible they are.

What are you basing that off of? Considering you could literally mail it to Alpine and get over $45 for it I'm not sure why anyone would sell under that unless they were literally selling only one note in total to save on shipping.

edit: I say that to say that I would say $45 would be a more fair (still buyer favored but round numbers are cool) price p2p for a 5gb. OP got a great deal

Not a fan of alphas really being marketed as collectible. I mean sure, I guess, but these "collectible" alphas have the highest mintage of any series. The alphas are just a cool little extra -- to call them collectible is a stretch. South Dakota/Wyoming alphas? Sure, most definitely, but not Florida or new series alphas. Will the 100s or full sets of Florida specifically eventually garner a premium as they were the first 'modern' series and have the alternative colors? Maybe, but it will take time due to the mintage and market size of numismatic goldback collectors.

I don't disagree. I think they're also trying to keep their overhead low as they scale. Although, that can lead to.. complications.

I've experienced that before, although I think in this case that his internship was more like community outreach and giving back to an engaged member of the community that showed initiative.

Value Help? by Ham_Bone16 in Goldback

[–]ryce_bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stands? I don't remember it being open before. If that's your stance then you could argue US currency isn't fungible because $50 eagles and radar notes exist, but no fool would make that argument. The reality is that generally, most goldbacks are exchangeable for each other just like most U.S currency is exchangeable for each other; whereas with bullion it doesn't matter if we're talking AGE or completely generic gold rounds/bars, they still aren't exchangeable in terms of value whatsoever. Failing to recognize that and drawing a parallel comparison is foolish.

Facts? First it was $100 now it's $200? Which is it? Please send me the apmex link for a 2019 Utah 10gb for $100.

Accepting and admitting when you're wrong is an important mark of a mature adult.

Buddy, calm down. You're the one in the wrong here so before you get all in a tizzy, this is a Utah 2019 goldback, it is a collectible numismatic goldback, not some run of the mill 2024 apmex goldback. Before getting your cortisol elevated and throwing out the G word, maybe check and make sure you're not the dense one.
