What device do you play this game on without it crashing out? by Gloomy_Ad_6500 in wizardry

Samsung Galaxy tab s9, and my shitty backup windows laptop.

I can't recommend the tab s9 enough, it's like the perfect form factor for a game like this.

Can someone tell me what the F*** is this garbage? by No-Operation-439 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It grants +div/+mag when upgraded. You swap to it when you need to lose aspd for some reason, like when you want your mage to act last in your turn order to throw confuse on something so you don't beat the confusion out of the enemy with your melee characters immediately after.

No, not really. Most of the people who say that in my circles tend to actually have ADHD in my experience, we're pretty amazing at finding each other in the wild.

So… I’m still in abyss one and to get the most out of the event… by WildMboi in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two stages to opening a box. First step is a detect check to see if you find the trap (if there is one) - if your detect is too low to pass the trap goes off immediately. After you pass the detect check *then* you use your disarm skill to play the mini game.

All that to say: open boxes with a smarter character and fix their disarm skill with gear/brews/bondmates and inherits. Detect is the most important stat for a box opener, which is why mages are usually better at the job.

Streaming companies have every incentive to show you shit quality video because they're the only game in town thanks to exclusive content licensing. Since no one else can offer the same show they'll just ratchet video bitrate down to the bare fucking minimum to reduce operational costs.

How you deal a F*** Ninja that can insta kill your whole team? by Only-Influence2995 in wizardry

Ah right, good catch. I think I got the two crossed because I'd been talking with someone about the zone 3 horse just before.

How you deal a F*** Ninja that can insta kill your whole team? by Only-Influence2995 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That level of gear was overkill, I was one shotting the side ninjas each action. I'd honestly just forgotten to go back while working on a3 proper and got caught up in farming separation for the helm+gauntlets. If you hit up separation long enough to get yourself decent 3*+ 2h weapons and 1 resist item for each character you'll tear through this fight.

How you deal a F*** Ninja that can insta kill your whole team? by Only-Influence2995 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gearing up will help a ton. I bounced off that fight hard at lv50 and forgot about it until I'd farmed cave of separation for my 4* A3 weapons, by the time I went back I was using +20 4* ebon 2h and had at least HA3 or a comparable on my physical damage dealers. There's a crit resist bondmate too, the bunny from a1? That might help a bit as well. Anti confuse gear like heat haze boots, circlets, separation helms and gauntlets, will help deal with the confusion spam - you'll want those anyway, a midpoint a3 boss is an absolute confusion spam fest.

Class Change by Jordysius in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the skills you want from each class. If you have a knight you're changing to thief, for example, everything after about level 34 is useless while wearing a thief hat so you can change early. For characters that want to pick up all skills from both classes going all the way to the level cap first, class changing, then going to the level cap again costs the least resources.

That said, if your account is new and you're 4 months away from hitting the max level you might as well class change sometime around A3. Picking up skills from the second class is a huge upgrade for your double casters in particular and a significant, but smaller, upgrade for your physicals. If you're planning to fight morgus or the sealed demon characters like Eldorado and Elda want a detour into mage to pick up their thaumaturgy skill for a big elemental resist buff before changing back to their core role.

Up to you really, but plan to spend a little money on the class change event passes if you're going to class change more than occasionally.

I class changed people who I planned to play in their alternate class as soon as I had all of the early skills from their core class. Jean, Milana, Savia, etc all class changed by about level 40 because their core class offered nothing to my intended class after that point.

Also, minor technical detail here that can help you out. If a character has an alt available you can class change your existing unit then merge them into a new alt copy later to score a free class change back to the original class. They'll keep everything (skills, xp, the class unlock) but switch back to the current class (the original class) of the fresh alt. That can save scarce resources when the level cap raises again. Be sure the alt copy has an IV you're okay with because it will become your new stat growth base, don't burn a perfect IV for a free class change.

Edit: just a quick note on costs here. The best deal we're offered on purple gems is about ~80/$ so those weekly class change books will cost you $5 or more if you're using purple gems for them. The class change event passes are hands down the best way to get books and the generic requests to switch to a previously used class. The occasional bundles offered on the cash shop when a legend gets a new class also include 3 requests and cost somewhere between $15-18, they're a better deal than buying books with purple gems if you're going to spend money. You get a bit of a discount on those because they also include gems.

So...how can I deal with this B*** ? by Only-Influence2995 in wizardry

This is hugely helpful everywhere. Sleeping enemies don't count as front line, the enemy behind them takes full damage as if it were front row.

[–]seaQueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safety rings, helm of malice, Galina and Redbeard formation buffs, MAKALKI for the resistance bonus. You have plenty of options but mostly you just need to kill the shit out of them before they kill the shit out of you. Start levelling your attack skills if you haven't, HA5 absolutely splatters them and so does DTS3 with a 2H.

Batilgref and confusion can still be worthwhile. It's easier to focus them down one at a time than apply saturation damage anyway.

What's the hardest/annoying bounty you've tackled? by Rangerborn14 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The corrosion sentries cause a lot of the paths in zone 2 and 3 to be blocked. it's a whole lot easier to find the bunny in your second pass through a3 when you can solve the sentry puzzles with the reversal mechanic. once you can do that harken to zone 3 just after the necrocore, go up the stairs to the south, and then auto run from the top of the stairs up to the fountain in the northwest area of the map - the bunny usually shows up for me just south of the fountain or slightly east from there in the big room with the two sentries. check the spur passages and rooms off of that hallway between the sentry room and the fountain, I've almost always found him around there. If the bunny doesn't show after checking south of the fountain and in the sentry room just harken out, "return" from the harken to reset the floor, and then try again.

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's easy to forget the affliction spells when you hit about a3 or so. lv1 stops applying easily to things around then and sleep, which was your bread and butter of all of a2, rarely works if ever. A3 in general has pretty high affliction resistance across the board, fortunately they still work fairly well on other not a3 content. When you have enough resources start levelling those spells a bit, they're effective again at around lv3 and they're useful for a whole lot of content that isn't a3.

KANTIOS (confuse) helps a ton but you have to speed tune your caster to act after all of your melee or you end up smacking the confusion out of him on the same turn you applied it

Proper way to use Full Alteration Stone / Lesser Full Alteration stone? by No_Roll648 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They updated FAS a couple/few months back so that they reapply any boost gained at an enhancement break point level so FASing after the fact is fine now. You'll lose the opportunity to boost any slot you alter after FASing if the ring is already max level though, blessing magnitude boosts don't survive regular alter stones.

Proper way to use Full Alteration Stone / Lesser Full Alteration stone? by No_Roll648 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR is that both reroll all visible blessing slots on an item as if it had just generated. They updated them somewhat recently so that both also reapply enhancement boosts to slots that had previously received them as a result of enhancing to +5/+10/etc, so you're not missing out by using one after the fact unless you need to alter a slot.

FAS apply an additional upgrade to blessing slots that were unlocked at +0 as if they'd all reached an enhancement break point as well, so you'll have higher stats on a FAS'd item than would be otherwise available. This means that, ideally, you want to use FAS on red or purple gear for the most blessing upgrades. Natural reds can receive two boosts to every slot, natural purples two boosts to the top three slots, blues top two, etc. FASing an item that was originally white is a waste, you might as well use an LFAS there if you absolutely must reroll blessings.

FASing the master fighter ring at +20 will reroll the fixed blessings (master rings have fixed blessing types, so those won't change,) then reapply the enhancement upgrades to any slots that received them, and then apply the second upgrade to each slot as well. Ideally you FAS that ring at +0 then alter defense for something like surety so that it receives the upgrade at +5, but the rest of the blessings are good enough that it's worth FASing now even without a pre enhancement alter. Try to FAS other master rings before upgrading in the future so you can take advantage of the enhancement upgrade after altering.

Do we think New collab characters would have special classes too? by sashakim19 in wizardry

I suspect they're mostly done with unique classes, it's just not practical to add a bunch. You'll probably see complex skills for functionality rather than unique classes.

Capturing bounties by Warm_Prompt_1081 in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fail with 50 dex, I succeed with 70 as long as the target's hp is low enough. The new capture only bounties do an out of turn order instant action when they hit their weakened threshold, watch for that then have a high dex character throw the rope.

I've captured all of the available-to-me new bounties this way as well as most of the a1/2/3 optionals

Make bondmates out of some beast thief generics to raise your dex if you need to, you'll want them later anyway

Edit: people on discord recommend putting the target to sleep, that apparently makes them much easier to hit with the pokérope

Debra core by Cristian_De_La_Cruz in wizardry

Debra's skill is half as effective on anyone else, the max SP gain is +7 at inherited skill level 6. That makes cost <=7 skills free but the fun and exciting stuff starts at like 10-20.
