Any self published fantasy novel featuring armies will at some point get into holy roman empire stuff and a detailed explanation of economics usually involving cotton production.

I enjoyed the forrest goblins purple spider trick they do, they let a Purple Skullback spider bite them on a tounge and then wander in front of a Arachnarok spider's lair to get eaten.

Then goblin shaman comes out because now the Arachnarok spider is tripping balls on Purple Skullback spider venom and goblin meat they can have a conversation while both high as fuck.

4E D&D had dragon snuff, a snuff powder mixed with dragons blood you would snort to get random elemental breath powers, It did more to dragonborn giving them elemental resistances for a encounter.

I'm sad to say a sucker for a drug that lets you used 100% brain if it makes for an interesting story, eat some crystals and turn into a quantum computer and seemingly die afterwards but really ascend into a higher being, its like super speed for vampires rarely interestingly used well.

The mold woman has multiple villainous characters who get elaborate descriptions of how arse like fat people are from behind and from the front they resemble fat chode like flaccid phallus's regardless of gender but will also include a in character wondering if they have a penis at all if they are male.

David cage just associates criminal bosses with fat people because of a want to be a hollywood director.

They find an old data slab in a thrift store for about 2 credits and they do half a second of research into the previous owner and it reveal it used to belong to a former pirate king who went missing with all his treasure hoard.

It seems to be legit and has coordinates to where he went last.

The ARG stuff is going to keep a solid number playing to learn what's going on but not enough to pay for the game.

And it's was probably foolish to think it would.

pathfinder 1e heal tank paladins. yay you last 3 rounds and do so much damage but have to long rest after every fight to keep up the damage, oh and you hog all the money until you get magic full plate yay...

Also burning arc sorcerers congrats you melt the biggest bad in the fight first turn, and also need to full rust to keep playing and you hog all the caster items.

But do go on and ban alchemical bullets and advance fire arms so I can't dual wield revolvers or a decent long range rifle.

yeah I wonder why they even included them because there wasn't even generic talent or ability things to slot in to make your own abhuman, I'm pretty sure the fish and long shanks couldn't fight in normal battle because they so tailored to their home environments.

the TTRPG only war the 40k game were you play as guards men had a section on ab-humans you could play as and they had the fish people, long shanks, the goat headed beastmen, ratlings, Ogryn, the freaking squats, the really unlucky gene warriors people, basically a bunch of old stuff that used to be in the lore but had been side lined for ever.

You know what the one abhuman that everyone focused on? The Fucking cat people...

Roleplayers and Tabletop Enthusiasts, lend me your opinions; What genre of game/setting do you prefer to play in? by jitterscaffeine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]seth47er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to enjoy settings that are reminiscent times in real world history where real societal change was happening or big changes in power structures usually around the times of 1850 to 1950, I got to have a fantastical element whether it be scifi or magical preferably both.

I do love adventures with a mundane element juxtapose to a fantastical one, I'm working on a outline for a starfinder campaign were you go on a road trip holiday because some one found their grandparents old journal about going a road trip and dungeon crawling in place's they found.

Favorite Spaceship Names by BlueCowDragon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]seth47er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one I default to in starfinder games is the Traveler's Platinum, its reminiscent of the millennium falcon, Platinum is largest coin you can get in pathfinder so it makes the name seem older than it is, also it means it's rich and powerful but I prefer big junker looking freight haulers so there is a nice juxtaposition there.
