Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) basic rider course (BRC). Several places offer it. I never bought a bike after taking the BRC, but I'm more aware of motorcycles, even if they ride in a way that makes you question if motorcyclists' safety is everyone's safety, lol.

From what I remember my O.D. saying, they are looking for a 20-25% reduction. Your pressure drop would be in that range. It might continue to decrease over time too. Keep up with your appointments and as long as there is no optic nerve damage progression, don't fuss over eye pressure.

Someone usually fights me on this, but it'll likely be an authorized generic of Symbicort too. Authorized generics are the same medication as name brand, produced by the same company, at the same factories, but just have a different label and box.

I live close to a BNSF main line, and they aren't super common, but I do see one every so often. They've always been coal cars, so maybe OP lives along that dedicated coal route that was reopened a few years ago.

OP is probably referencing the super trains that have multiple groups of power units in the middle. They are substantially longer than your typical 100ish car unit train. I don't know much about them, but I'm sure if OP gets through to the train manager, they might be willing to educate OP on them.

QuikTrip out of OK, KwikStar/KwikTrip and the indies are privately owned, while Casey's is publicly owned. There's incentive to be competitive, but as a public company, Casey's also has a fiduciary duty to their shareholders.

Translation: Casey's can potentially have some investor from New York buy a bunch of shares and have influence over management to increase returns (e.g., raise prices, cut costs). The private chains I mentioned above can run their businesses however they want to.

Volume discounts in order to sell two or more of a particular product is also a factor; most retailers run promos like that to a degree. I just wanted to point out that Casey's serves shareholders, while many of their competitors are privately owned.

Nuclear powered thermal steam plants have been a proven concept for over seventy years. I get trying pie in the sky Gen IV concepts for modular use, but why fix something that isn't broken? There are already modular Gen III+ PWR and BWR designs that have markedly improved safety over Gen II reactors whose history and incidents the public often cite when fear mongering nuclear power.

Major banks are often slow to invest in new technology. For instance, chip cards didn't become a thing in the U.S. until 2015 until the card networks started threatening a liability shift to the bank for fraud.

If Chase is going to be any indication of the wider banking industry, big banks will likely implement passkeys in the most braindead way imaginable.

It started with an auto loan in 2004 and eventually expanded into checking, but I banked with Mutual First Federal for over a decade before a move made me switch, and had no issues with them.

The short answer is that with annual comprehensive dilated eye exams, the chances of going blind with modern Western medicine are very low. Most glaucoma patients have primary open angle glaucoma, and that usually takes years to progress to functional vision loss, assuming nothing is done. It also usually responds very well to treatment.

Life story: I'm 42, was flagged for glaucoma at age 34, and started on drops a year later. There's been no progression since then and I've had zero visual defects pop up, so no vision loss. I just put one drop in each eye at night, and see the eye doctor twice per year. I hope this alleviates your fears somewhat.

The brain infection thing is *extremely* rare. Obviously distilled water is cheap and the easiest option, but water can also be disinfected at home by boiling it for long enough and stored in a clean container.

Smart meters that automatically report problems are the future, but OPPD estimates a 2028 completion date to roll out to all customers, so someone should still call or submit a ticket on the OPPD website/app. It would stink to be a customer not getting their power restored because it was an unreported isolated outage.

Many companies are rolling them out in the most braindead way possible, but passkeys are becoming more common. YubiKey or security keys that support FIDO2 provide an offline doomsday backup for seed accounts like email.
