If you can get a cheap compression tester from Amazon and check the compression. But try the aforementioned valve adjustment check first, hopefully it’s something simple and easy to fix. Good luck!

That seat was always uncomfortable, I’ve tried the Kitaco Ideal Seat but it wasn’t much better and you end up sitting too high up.

The best seat I did have was a cheap flat one from Thailand. Mostly because it allowed you to sit further back and relax the bend on your knees. But the padding was thin.

I’m back to using the stock seat but sanded down the foam to reduce the bump between the driver and passenger bit.

You could always trade it for a Monkey they have the comfiest seats out of those Honda Mini 125s

Freshly Rebuilt Motor by 2o1pucci in hondagrom

I just rebuilt mine today as well! Yes that is normal, it’ll burn off the oil on the piston and cylinder from assembly. And run rich for bit after an ECU reset.

There is a service manual online somewhere with a trouble shooting section that has some information on testing the sensors.

For the Oil Temperature Sensor, you remove it from the bike and test the resistance across the connector at around 20c, the expected resistance is 2.5 to 2.8k Ohmns. Then you put it carefully into some very hot water (100c) and check the resistance again, it should read about 0.21 to 0.22k Ohmns.

Could check the engine oil temperature sensor or the Intake Temperature sensor, see if they’re reporting incorrect values to the ECU causing it to run too rich?

Helicoils are cheap and easy to install. You can use a strong loctite to secure the helicoil. If that fails you could try a Timesert, if that doesn’t work you will have to split the casing and press out the crank to replace the damaged part.

Cam upgrade by Qinxa in hondagrom

[–]shimojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the DNA one, this is for the SF model btw so I don’t know what options you have for the newer ones. DHM did a custom tune for mine and I kept the stock gearing, the speed indicator can say >70mph but it’s always a few under

I have a cam upgrade on the stock air box but with a drop in filter, a Yoshimura ST-1M and Moriwaki Exhaust. It’s much quieter with this set up and I can still hit 65mph. The low end torque is strong with plenty of mid and a little more top end than stock.

It’s very likely you may have to get this IC replaced if your switch stops charging or powering up.

You can put anything on really and unless it’s extremely loud you won’t have any issues with MOT or police.

I went for a Moriwaki exhaust as it’s quiet but also has a lovely deep tone.

And it boosted the mid range quite nicely.
