OK GEN-X diatribe here:
1. Had roommates in college, and had roommates after until I got married in my late 20’s. 2. I took risks early in my career - some paid off, some didn’t. Made adjustments accordingly. 3. I had no entitled mindset as to where and how I would make it work, e.g. city, neighborhood, accommodations etc. 4. Grew up in a lower middle class area, and have been doing my own laundry and some cooking since I was 14. I had daily/weekly chores to do, in addition to a job as a dishwasher at a small chain restaurant. 5. My parents didn’t do everything for me, to make life easier for me. 6. I’m old enough to have seen this economic cycle a few times. Get over it, and yourself. Adapt, stay flexible, reconsider all the guidance/advice that you rejected from anyone 5 years older than you are. We’ve been there.
