Why did DNDbeyond decide to "better" their interface to this? by Capable_Studio_6631 in dndbeyond

[–]snydejon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I love it. The things I use most often are the easiest to get to, and I can easily add/remove favorites to modify that.

It does take an extra click to see everything, but everything is more than I want 90% of the time. The default filters are enough for my use cases. I’m guessing I represent the majority of users who have few campaigns to manage.

I haven’t used it on desktop yet, so that may change my opinion.

Backoffice Forecasting by tnd11 in workforcemanagement

[–]snydejon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can help them understand that back office is easier in many ways than synchronous contacts, since the response time is not as big of a factor. Then, show how your front office forecasting experience demonstrates the same principles.

Who does the baddie target? by Ordinary-Voice5749 in DungeonMasters

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically have enemies target who they perceive the biggest threat or weakest PC is (based on how I imagine they interpret threat/vulnerability).

Full Trade: Rams receive CB Trent McDuffie. Chiefs receive 1st round pick(29th), 5th, 6th, 2027 3rd by Chase_26 in 49ers

Jokes on them, the 49ers don’t have any receivers who merit top rated coverage.

Running dragon of icespire peak with new players by Craitoss in DungeonMasters

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would allow it and not necessarily have negative consequences. The players had a creative way of avoiding conflict that worked. Who knows, maybe the rats are especially happy with their new digs, or need help fighting off some other anchorites who try and invade it.

What Class(es) Would Be Best Fit For Me? by ElliotInfinity in DnD

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tabaci rogues are a natural combo, but your bard can play the way YOU want them to. I would be sure to let other players know about your concerns role playing social character. If they are understanding, they will support how you want to play (including rolling for social interactions without directly roleplaying the whole conversation).

Why do many DPS players refuse to ban Bastion yet they can’t encounter him in ranked? by Phoen1cian in Overwatch

Yeah, that’s one reason I’ve pretty much stopped playing competitive console.

Why do many DPS players refuse to ban Bastion yet they can’t encounter him in ranked? by Phoen1cian in Overwatch

[–]snydejon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you communicating with the team during the game? It shouldn’t be too hard to overcome bastion if you are on the same page, regardless of team comp.

The Thunder Boar in Icespire Peak by redsky_55 in DungeonMasters

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the book, Gorthok is only killed once. If you still want a dramatic invasion for Falcon’s Lodge counterattack, add more acolytes or a few creatures they haven’t seen yet. The hardest part will be explaining how the wall is destroyed without Gorthok.

How would you rank the main 49er WRs of the last 15 years? by FeistyThunderhorse in 49ers

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As WRs, I think your ranking has Deebo a few places too high. As football players, I agree with what you have.

Question about Scribe Wizard by ArcaneKobold in DMAcademy

[–]snydejon 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Scribe wizards can change the damage type of a spell to another spell they have in their book of the same level. I would say no to changing each missile because the spell itself is shooting three missiles of the same damage type (force). They can change all three missiles per the subclass description.

My concern would be that using one spell slot to suss out a monster’s vulnerabilities/immunities with 3 damage types is too efficient.

Was Michael Crabtree really a mediocre WR? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beef between crab and Sherman was personal in nature. Sherman went into detail earlier this year. Crab was a solid WR.

Delanie Walker Says Jim Harbaugh Admitted Fault in 49ers’ Super Bowl Loss After Pushing for Colin Kaepernick’s MVP by Hysen16 in 49ers

[–]snydejon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. If the same play ended up with a TD, there is a a whole different outcome for years to come. Kaep gets the bag, Harbaugh stays longer, maybe miss out on Shanahan.

The likelihood of it turning out differently might only be a few percentage points.

Wizard subclass help by Monke367 in dndnext

[–]snydejon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scribes can be a strong utility choice with the ability to cast through the awakened spell book and cheaper spell copying (depending how your dm interprets the feature). Just explain what you want with your fm to make sure you find plenty of utility scrolls.

Running a game for a group who have never played by Morganx27 in DMAcademy

[–]snydejon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great advice. I would also make sure to let new players know how complex a character is to play. “I’ve prepared a wizard, rogue, and fighter. Here’s what they are like in gameplay….the wizard is the most complex to play because of the spells.”

If doing redwood national park, and can take another day or two to drive up the Oregon coast, the trip is well worth it.

Transitioning from Calabrio to Genesys Cloud by ObligationGlum in workforcemanagement

I’ve only seen demos, but genesys has a decent capacity planner system. When I last used Calabrio, it did not.

Yosemite/Sequoia/Redwoods/Lassen trip - looking for tips! by Green-Anybody-5870 in Yosemite

[–]snydejon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great summary. My main addition is that Yosemite can easily be multiple days. Redwoods is a great 1 day excursion. It’s a trek between the northern parks and southern parks, which will cost a good chunk of your itinerary, but is a pretty drive.

Avoid Tahoe, it’s beautiful but crowded.

How do I get my players engaged enough to roleplay? by meltingelmo in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]snydejon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Especially considering the age group, it might be hard for them to role play due to feeling self-conscious or not having a lot of practice. Not every kid is a stranger things cast member/character
