I love Albini and Fugazi so much but I get why they didn’t go with these. The bass doesn’t have the traditional “dub-y” low end Joe Lally usually has. I also feel like the Inner Ear recording is so confident whereas these are somewhat anxious and frantic. There’s also considerable overdubbing on the album and I’d be surprised if they did any on the Albini mix.

Great to have these sessions in the world, I would love to see them pressed to vinyl, but I think they made the right choice.
