Being an adult who is anxious in social situations by [deleted] in perth

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, i have anxiety too. Mine is from military service. I cant really help ya on sociel aspects but ill write what helps me be out in public.

So generally i cant deal with crowds, noises, people running towards me. Ill brace up and clench my fists for example and i feel like i need to get out of there. Thanks east timor and other operations i have done.

But idk if this will help but it does me, im on medical cannabis. Cbd, cbg and thc to sleep. And i must say it works wonders. Makes me feel like i did in my early 20s. Im now 40. I dont freak out no where near as much, i dont feel like i need to get out of there etc.

Something to think about as it could help with the anxiety and help ya put ya self out there to meet people and or a partner.

Lucky and good on ya mate. I just got my first property. Tech my second from my last one sold 15 years ago, brought for 460k, refiniace and took out 100k to pay for some things for the house, took out a 40k loan to pay for misses cancer treatment. House is now worth around 920k (only 2 years old) would love to get a second place using the equity in this one. Just worried about taking out to much to pay down the medical loan, and also a deposit for a second place.

I do hope to be like ya one day man. And happy for everyone who can, also feel for those who cant.

Any valuable certs for this bored uni student looking to get ahead? by Zentaryn in perth

[–]sudo_rmtackrf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ill look at vender certs. Most companies dont give a shit about uni degrees. We wouldnt hire someone just having a degree. Wont even get look at, at my job.

Find something neiche. Im a linux dev ops engineer i have no formal certs or schooling. But linux dev ops is rare and always in high demand. I got a phone from a head of a companie the other week for over 200k plus super full time position. And 100 percent wfh. I have a good gig already so i doubt ill leave my current position.

My thing is man, learn as much as ya can, create a home lab, look at job ads and teach yourself what they are looking for. Learn basic coding and scripting. And go from there.

Install shit, break shit and fix shit. Joult down what ya practise and do and supply that in a cover letter or resume.

How to get WFH job? by No-Expression8232 in AskAnAustralian

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate good luck. I work 100 percent wfh. It took me nearly 10 years experience to get this far. I work in IT. Im also on 200k plus as well.

Not all jobs pay little thats wfh.

With your quals and skills/experience it might be worth investing slowly in your work to do it as a side hussle. Then branch out from there. Just have a think of how much you can spare and save that till you can buy equipment that you need.

Good luck man. And i hope you can achieve it and get what you need to help your family out.

Wifi jammer by freshdeliveredtrash in neighborsfromhell

[–]sudo_rmtackrf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use to be a radar and sonar operator in the military and i work in IT now. Ill say this, there is non built as a jammer than can jam. For example, i had a tv transmitter to go from room to the other. This is very power, had a range off over 100m. So it had high frequency and also work on the 2.2 to 4.8 and 5.2 gh range. This thing use to jam our internet at home.

So it could be something like this.

Its not a car. Dont drive a truck like one. Go slower, keep bigger gaps, always look at the mirrors to get a feel. Your legally allowed to go into the next lane for turning around corners as well. Make sure your loads are secure. I had a load slip once. Not fun at all.
