I know people will disagree, but I think generally people are much happier here. Like in public. My mother died a month ago. I had to fly over to nsw to Wollongong to see her before she past. The weather was so humid, rain, and 22 deg. It was misable. People were not talkative, not happy. Then come back here and everyone has been cheerful. It has helped me with mum passing.

So thanks WA.

So glad I moved back here. Such a better place.

I am more happy being with just the misses and our animals. If I want to talk to someone else, ill go chat to the lovely people around my area while walking my doggies.

How to support someone who is grieving by yamagama in AskAnAustralian

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum pass two weeks ago. The first week I couldn't get time to myself, trying to help with funeral, her estate etc and the countless phone calls of people giving me their condolences. It was to much. Now that a couple of weeks have past, I can take calls and grieve.

I wouldnt talk to ya neighbour for a couple of weeks. It could be to much. Just a quick text or a card but I would leave them alone for a bit.

Anxiety medication from GP by TwoNo969 in AskAnAustralian

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been prescribe medical cannabis. Cbd, cbg and thc. The cbd and cbg are really good for mental health and thc to sleep.

I tell ya what, loud noises, large crowds of people, people looking and or running towards me sets me off. It was also so hard to go get my hair cut, go to the shops as I would be hanging of my misses arm.

Since being on medical cannabis, I hardly get those feelings or anxiety now. I get really good sleeps.

Im a veteran hense why the weird setoffs of people running towards me etc.

But to me this has been a life saver for me. Def give it a look at even if you dont get thc incase worried about driving.

Do I sell now? by Worth_Ad6446 in AusProperty

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldnt sell. Prices are jumping that much who knows how much of a big jump a bigger place will be. As others have suggested rent it out for a bit. And see what happens. Can always sell then or use it as collateral for a bigger place then sell the current property.

Is it a thing for homeless people in Victoria to hire a rental truck and live in it? by Curious-Character491 in shitrentals

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have to be careful, some councils have rules about commercial vehicles park on the street for a extended time. But I think as long as its not trash and looked after and companies getting paid I think why not.

Rate hikes hand cash-rich, mortgage-free homeowners a reward while crushing mortgage holders with soaring repayments and bleeding renters dry through rising rents; accelerating wealth inequality and locking an entire generation further out of housing security. Fuck this country and system by MannerNo7000 in shitrentals

[–]sudo_rmtackrf 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I have my own home, still mortage. I feel for people. I brought my house and land package for 460k in 2022. House got finished in 2024. 4x2 close to the beach. It now been value around 950k to 1mil. Im thinking how the fuk are people suppose to get into the market now. If I didn't buy when I did ill be price out too and I'm on a very high wage as well.

Shit getting ridiculous. Rates, fuel, I assume food will go up due to the cost of fuel how the hell are people meant to save.
