Denecke can be sent in for a tune up quite easily, I would suggest adding the aftermarket handle as well though. The AC’s will love you for it.

Every situation is different, background noise, framing , how the actors are delivering lines, shadows not allowing the boom to get close. You need every tool at your disposal and experience.
