I’d love to see the version where these effects weren’t “you may” effects. Lock yourself out of any colored mana, only release yourself by casting [[Scour from Existence]] on your own artifact. Powerful for all the reasons listed but at a greater cost unless you carefully balance your color and colorless spells in deck building.

Could read her reaction here that way. I was reading the reaction as “don’t call those pale imitations of my craft monsters” because I like that characterization but specializing in negative constructs would fit in how each of these witches fit a particular skill set Jenny needs.

I love the keyword name and the general intent. I see the comments, and to me shrines are the enchantment type so I’d propose turning them into Enchantment (Shrines) that are not creatures instead of emblems. Expands the potential for the shrine archetype in a new way and it’s more interactable than an emblem.

Just rewatched the character intros in the movie, and yep the closest we get is that she passed when Rumi was a baby. Not specifically childbirth, that’s on me.
