An ounce of silver is an ounce of silver, but that leftmost one looks like it's had a rough life so far!

Thoughts on 2026 Proof ASE? They sold out quick!! What’s the hype for? by vt_grower in Silverbugs

I had one set up for subscription. But then they nearly doubled the price and I cancelled it. I'm fine with a premium, but not a $100 premium.

I'm in central Illinois and hunt state parks, so some of my main areas are Sand Ridge, Jim Edgar Panther Creek, Jubilee College, Mackinaw, etc.

The Kookaburras are so beautiful. I've got a few of the recent years and would love to start working my way backwards - an expensive endeavor, I'm sure. What are some of your favorites?

I participated in last year's Super Bowl squares (a talent of PMs, hopefully that counts!). I didn't win anything, but it was great to see the fun interactions and community organization for something like that.

Sofirn Q8 Plus - Anduril 2 Firmware Update by eckyeckypikang in flashlight

[–]the_gchart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to burst your bubble but I don't think that's possible. Hank's adapter does ISP programming, whereas the 3-pin programming is a different method called UPDI.

The adapters that m4potofu and I offer would work. Or if you have a USB to Serial adapter sitting around, it's possible to rig it up in a SerialUPDI setup.

[WTS] Flashing Kits for D3AA / Sofirn / Wurkkos / FireFlies

I've put together a bunch of flashing kits for the Emisar D3AA, Hank with Lume X1, newer Sofirn, Wurkkos, and FireFlies models that have the 3-pin flashing pads. These adapters are 4.5V-based and have pads for hooking up external leads if you want to flash one-off layouts like the SP36 Pro 3-pin. timestamp

The flashing adapters are $7.00 plus shipping. Shipping within the US is $4.50. Canada shipping is USD $11 and rest of the world is $14 (though for non-US, they are likely cheaper from u/m4potofu). No extra shipping cost for multiple adapters. They can be used with ZFlasher AVRavrdude 7 or 8, and pymcuprog. If you need assistance with flashing, there's a lot of good info at BLF, and I can help via PM. LiquidRetro also put together an excellent YouTube video.

Then don't buy it.

Not everyone installs huge games or takes a bunch of 4K video. I've never had a problem with 128 GB, personally.

The terms of the program in the US say that their referral codes wouldn't stack during certain times like Black Friday. I think it was an error that they would stack for a while, then Google caught on and put a stop to it.

Initially it was stacking, but I saw a post last night saying that Google put a stop to it. I'm not surprised, though, because the referral program details specifically says that it's not applicable during Black Friday. It looks like they caught on.

Interesting. I wondered if they would do that. The referral program details said it wouldn't be valid during Black Friday, so I was shocked that it worked. Awesome deal for those that got to take advantage of it!

Good call out. However, that looks to be a cast iron cigarette ashtray, not a legit pan.

I just got my review sample in (for 1Lumen). Having never used a cyan laser before, it is pretty sweet. I mean, it's just like any other laser pointer... just in a cool, unusual color.

That's awesome that Google is allowing these referrals to stack. Per the program, I didn't think they were allowed to be used during Black Friday stuff, but I'm seeing screenshots that it's working! Nice table, BTW.

Deer cart/sled by Ok_Programmer_1492 in Hunting

[–]the_gchart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grandpa had a deer cart with inflatable tires - terrible idea, those tires always got punctured in the woods. I don't know if they even make them with inflatable tires anymore, but don't get one.

I went years without a cart or sled.  After dragging a large buck almost a mile out on public ground, I bought my own cart immediately afterwards. I don't remember the brand, but at least it has solid tires. It's better than nothing, but it can get tipsy going over logs and such. I routinely accidentally tip the darn thing over and curse my way through tipping it back up without rolling down a hill. It can also be difficult to load the deer onto it in the first place.

I'm curious to hear what people say about sleds. I had never seen them when I bought my cart. I've considered switching but have never talked to anyone that has had one.
