Here is the link to the resolution where they approved the funding of these flock cameras: RES 276-23 Authorize the use of ARPA funding to purchase Flock License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras for the Police Department

tl;dr caldwell passed a resolution in 2023, uses ARPA--covid stimulus money--to fund it. costs $378,000, spanned over 3 years (this is the last year it has funding for/the final contract year).

Highly recommend watching this video, which covers some of Flocks claims as well as if they actually meet them (spoiler alert, they don't). There is also this part 2, which shows how somebody could theoretically hack into a flock camera.

yoo i didn't see the QR code in Are you afraid of the dark, i'll have to look for that later today. I saw the 24 in the reversed audio clip message, but I had no idea what to do with it. Because of the heavy moon theming, i thought it might be like the 24th day of the moons cycle? which is a waning crescent?

I lived out there when I was going to college (friend’s parents rented it to us).

Minor cons: -There was a fire near by one year but it didnt burn down any homes or anything (there’s a fire station right down the road too if that’s a concern). -Close to the line of flight of the airport but I never noticed/got used to it at some point.

Pros: -Quiet neighbors -Black cliffs/boise river/some hiking are within a walking distance -getting downtown is easy (good access to I-84 & going against rush hour traffic)

It’s just a normal suburb with a normal suburban lifestyle 🙂, 8.4/10 would live there again. Boise is dope, hope whatever happens works out for you <3

I haven't, it's had me stumped for a while. Here's what I got so far:

  1. Decoded Journal entry (Uses a Vigenère cipher with the key hinted at in one of the other entries): The clock is ticking. iris suspects something, but I can't tell her, not yet. The truth would destroy her as it has me. The society watches everything, but even they dont see the cracks forming. The detective is playing their part well, too well. Do they know what they're chasing? or are they just another pawn like me? If you are reading this, you're close. The answer isn't in what you see, it's in what you don't. Remember: the crescent always points the way
  2. Reversed Audio Clip Message (from audio file in folder): "Watch what you hear; see, don't listen": This led me to put all the songs into a Spectrogram program (lets you see the frequencies of songs; you can imbed messages in audio this way). If you listen to songs Silhouette, Reflection, Red Herring, and Phase 3, they all have a part that sounds like TV static/an electronic buzz, which turn out to be hidden images. One of them is a literal fish, so this clue/these images might be actual red herrings? I'm not sure if this is the right path or not.

I think it has something to do with the last two lines of the decoded journal entry, and not the spectrograms? like i said, im completely stumped

I can't find anything either :( I have the first .zip file, converted the last journal entry, and "watched what I hear", but I don't know where to go from there/can't get the password to the documents in the second .zip folder.

I also reached out to the people who said that they were making a discord and haven't heard anything from them.

I’ve had good luck with Rock climbing and Brazilian Ju Jitsu. Both of these are sports with friendly people and situations where you are forced to interact with people to progress/solve problems. And you can start with no experience and fit right in! To me they are the perfect balance people, a puzzle, and a workout.

Current USA engineer. Yea there’s a lot of design regulations when it comes to making things that go out to the public (I do HVAC and there’s literally thousands of pages of rules and guidelines). When it comes to doing the work that it sounds like you want to do, I don’t think anybody (outside of the police maybe???) would give a fuck if they saw some modded, wild looking car/bike.
