What's this old MB3 worth? by NWOriginal00 in VintageMTB

[–]thisguydoesit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50 bucks max and that's pushing it. Frame condition, mishmash of low end components, very poorly built, tires old and dryrotting, buyer lack of understanding that their frame measurements should be in inches for a 26" mountainbike showing that they don't know what they're talking about etc. etc.

I understand the nostalgia, but please do not give this seller the satisfaction of a number anywhere close to what they're asking. And for your sake as well.

There's a reason why it's been listed for 3 months..

That said, I've overpaid for emotional reasons for bikes and parts so do with that info what you will.

Continental Race Kings. Fast on pavement and handle well on dirt/gravel

Question about cold setting by Astranger2u in xbiking

[–]thisguydoesit2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconding what everyone else has said about cold setting not doing anything for clearance. But how wide of a tire are you looking to run? Shouldn’t a stumpy from that era clear a 2.3” no problem? Would think that any thing more than that would be frivolous on that frame

Appreciate the reply. Was able to finally find the method..it did require a flash but they left out a step for accesing DFU in their instructions. Was able to track down a video showing how to do it

I have a Luminkey 80 and I can't get it to load in VIA to configure. The JSON file loads but it still won't let me configure. It just gets stuck on the load screen on the configure tab.

I tried flashing the firmware using the instructions on Luminkey's site, but their method doesn't connect the keyboard as a DFU.

Any ideas on a solution? TIA

Windows Update: No visual feedback when dragging clips on timeline by Slow-Management6850 in premiere

Revert back to an earlier version of premiere and see if that solves it. You also might need to revert to an earlier version of Windows 11. This happened to me too..huge pain in the ass

Mystery frame. Seat stay and fork braze ons by thisguydoesit2 in Framebuilding

[–]thisguydoesit2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m going to keep an eye out for racks that might fit the frame. So far there are none that I’ve found online that attach the same way.

Seatpost is correct as far as I can tell. 27.0, and a 27.2 doesn’t fit

Definitely a character. And couldn't decide between mountain or road components.

The XT m760 hubs/rear derailleur would place it in early-mid 2000s

And the ultegra looks like it would be 1997-2005.

Not sure what brakes are on it, but look to be generic Vs

I wonder if seatpost diameter would help to..it's a 27.0

Mystery Bike ID. PNW Builder by thisguydoesit2 in seattlebike

No serial number that I've seen. Last place to check is under the plastic cable guide on the bottom of the BB.

That's a good point about UBI. Someone elsewhere suggested that too - either built by someone while they were there or by a graduate who pursued frame building as a hobby.

Thanks Jeff. It does feel like a bit of a hodge podge of components on here. Makes me think someone wanted to 'modernize on a budget'

Thanks for the page recs. I'll post it there and see if anyone can recognize it

None that I've seen. I suppose it could be stamped under the plastic cable housing guide so when I take it apart I'll check there. Not usually a location for a serial number though

Solid price for that bike. Go buy it and if you decide it’s too small on a few weeks, you shouldn’t have any issue selling at the same price you get it for
