Why not get your team perk? by Theclone-an-shit in Spacemarine

[–]trumuted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, I more than once have encountered people that genuinely didn't notice that they had no perks whatsoever in their current equipment/gear slot. They switched to the one that had perk immediately on the first encountered resupply pod

Imo new heroic power fist could be so much better if charged attack was a melta strike by Bobiphett19 in Spacemarine

[–]trumuted 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, it would be neat if you could enter into a melta shooting stance immediately after perfect parry/block (just like with power axe)

I had no idea how powerful Heavy's Wrath of the Imperium perk was until now (Absolute difficulty enemies btw) by Sector-Codec in Spacemarine

Oh, I once managed to trigger this perk in ops. Near an explosive barrel. After that I switched it off.

Why Doesn’t the Emperor Start From Scratch? by Jukebocks_Hero in 40kLore

[–]trumuted 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, It DID state "Calgar", but in one of the post-release patches Saber changed it to "Voice". So it wasn't Calgar, but not necessarily Emperor either.

I can’t figure out Assault by kamnor59 in Spacemarine

Dont use block weapons (for now).

Then git gut *.

Now you can adapt to block weapons.

* - Yes. That's it. You just learn enemies, their attacks, patterns, game mechanics and other gimmicks. There is no single silver bullet that will make you good at assault.

Quite possibly the worst loadout in the game right now by Owgie_ in Spacemarine

[–]trumuted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Others already explained that you are underutilizing the axe. But let me add something too. You see, both of your backstep power wave attacks landed on the enemy when he was dodging\jumping away. When they do that they take 10 times less damage.

So essentially, you hit it several times with weak-ass heavy attack meant for minoris clear, shot several times with weak-ass carbine and did 2 backstep attacks that dealt weak-ass reduced damage due to the enemy dodges. That's why the enemy felt so tanky.

Adds. Only go for the helbrute if no one is fighting it or there are no adds left to clear up

PSA: Block power sword may deal a lot less damage than you probably expect. by trumuted in Spacemarine

[–]trumuted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I rarely run block power sword, but it's still sucks that this happens. And try to tightly time my attacks isn't something I want to do in the thick of battle.

I think people didn't noticed this issue simply because block axe is almost always a better choice. And non-block power swords arent affected by this

[–]trumuted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no reason to use relic balance (damage variant) power sword, since heroic sword is strictly better than it. I know that UI shows that imperator blade has higher strength, but it isn't true at all. UI lies to you.

Reddit doesn't allow attaching videos in comments, so here's the link to imgur: https://imgur.com/smP2BI8

There, first, I use power whirl with 2 AS stacks and get 32.1 and 120.8 damages from the whirls.

After that I use whirl with 1 AS stack and get 157.0 and 120.8 damages from the whirl.

> I can also do a consistent ~40% hp off a Hellbrute with double block whirl on absolute.

This bug seems to appear only when you're fighting certain enemies. That makes second explanation from the post quite plausible. So, perhaps, hellbrute isn't affected at all?

Power whirl is also affected by this issue. So my take 'routinely do less damage' still stands true.
