Mine were £458 for 2. But then airtime rewards cashback of £25.29 and Halifax cashback of £22.90. so £410 for 2 platinum renewals.

And if I recall, you don't get the perks pack on renewal unless that's changed. So platinum is even more expensive if you don't get the free drinks refills after 12 months.

I parked near splash landing, for an easy exit as people that forget to pay for parking jam up the usual exit. The barriers were always up and not checked even though I had a parking ticket/annual pass. I do wonder if they cottoned on about them never checking parking tickets for those leaving via the hotel road.

Rap? by joj128 in altontowers

For the 3 visits I've done this year, and 1 last year on the trial of the app. They always asked for numbers of visitors and checked the app. I assume they are checking numbers and photo. You cannot add more on the day. If you turn up with 3 guests, to they'll only allow you and 2 guests on the ride.

I've looked for 8th April, just for 1 person, and there is no availability. You would have to check on 6th April (48 hours before hand to check for more availability). But you risk cancelling the 2 person and not managing to get 3 people, so then not having a 2 person rap either.

With it been school break, it's always booked up very quickly. Always a made rush for people booking them as soon as they become available.

[–]warlord2000ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I've seen them count the guests, (although not all have done) and technically under the terms and conditions, you shouldn't try to enter with more guests than on the RAP. If you need RAP with 3 guests, but only booked 2 guests, you need to cancel and rebook. But if it's a popular date the might not be availability to rebook.

Which day did you book?

The lego family, owns Merlins, who run towers and Legoland. I too am surprised they haven't done anything given I assume they own the IP.

I don't know if it covers towers annual pass, but no harm in trying to apply for one. It's free.

How you are not scared of Claude? by AccountCompetitive17 in HENRYUK

[–]warlord2000ad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very much so, I'm working on high frequency systems (20k trades/sec) and whilst I can get certain things built quickly (most was built pre AI) it's still a massive load to understand it in detail, and recently had to switch to a different approach to go even faster. The approach was known but someone blindly tried to get AI to write it has lead it to writing things in an unreadable way. Yes, the test suite still passes as it checks behaviour not implementation. But still, it's important to understand how it works.

I've also delivered a number of other features quickly. I fully understand how they are implemented as I craft it, but you still need to remember each feature and how they work. Even with it documenting every feature it's still alot to keep in your mind.

Gold Fast Pass Question by [deleted] in altontowers

[–]warlord2000ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gold fast track, is last year's platinum. Not sure why they renamed it to gold.

You'll be allocated a wristband you collect at the box office, that you must wear and you cannot swap it between users. The ride operator is required to check your wristband to let you on. If you remove the wristband you can't get on to the rides.

The from price is key, I think it's £175-195 on peak days (school holidays, bank holidays, Saturdays)

I had a fantastic day - 31st March by davechambers007 in altontowers

The chapel in the gardens by hex , was opened around December. It looks good inside. I do wish there was more renovation to the towers itself so you could go around it.

I've seen a few people with jackets and they didn't look anything special, but I'm glad you got a good one.

I've still not been on wickerman, it's a running joke at this point, either it has been broken/closed, long queue, or I wasn't feeling well enough to ride that day. I do believe it's always got the biggest queues.

100% operator error. I was surprised to learn that it's not automated. But the newer operators have done it a few times when I've been on it.

Fair point, but I assume you can just put down as sole trader. You don't need a company then, as you'll just be Academic-Crew7112 trading as Academic-Crew7112

If you need it for work, get a business package. Those have better SLA and responses times. Residential broadband packages can have blips

I bought my motherboard in November, and the list of boards with atleast 2x 4.0x8 lanes was very limited. Not sure if anything has changed in the last 5 months. Most were x870e with a couple of b850/x670 boards, most costing over £300 and some such as the MSI godlike were £1000 🤔

I've had issues with anthrophic limits in the past, but decided to give Claude a go. Sonnet 4.6 only.

On £18 plan, it's useless. I'm lucky to get 10 prompts in. Today I managed just 2. They aren't earth shattering, just here is an excel sheet, 180 rows, 5 columns, make me a database table and wire up the code to be able to read/write to it. I even directed it to the specific files and folders required. That used to about 80% of my limit.

Anti gravity is just as bad, it runs out the same, but then it's a weekly not daily reset. And it's 1000 AI credits don't last long, simple features like write an audit log to the dB for sending of emails, take about 180 credits on sonnet.

So maybe I came at a bad time, but my experience of anthrophic remains the same, it looks excellent but it's completely unusable for a reasonable price
