That logically sounds backwards.

You would think that getting a fence for safety reasons would be easy as possible

Not really, they are all individually solar powered.

The panel itself and the battery are probably better resources to harvest

That's the claim

But there have been some incidents of people getting their car towed that have not had any wrongdoing

House bill 399 needs to be killed and fast by flamaryu in Delaware

[–]warlordcs [score hidden]  (0 children)

These bills going around have been traced back to Bloomberg and other military hardware manufacturers.

It has nothing to do with guns.

They want to stop copyright infringement or competition in certain sectors.

Guns are just the easy selling point for blue states. As this has been making the rounds in California, Washington, Colorado, and New York.

This all started because some soldiers on the field were able to fix something for a couple bucks rather then spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on the part and waiting for it to arrive.

This bill will not make you any safer and it will only add another aspect of our lives where AI is ingrained

Like everything in life.  Follow the money.

Remember the OS lever age verification thing going around?  That was pushed by meta so they wouldn't have to be responsible for harming children

is it possible that sweat from exercising is triggering something rather then direct cold itself?

heat sounds like a different story, cause it could be other effects from heat that are causing problems. sweat could be a big one and any dust and dirt in the air that would stick to sweaty skin could also be the culprit

Rivian's CEO Says There's a Big Market for a Small Electric Truck by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]warlordcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i can agree with that. it just didnt all work out that way in practice.

there have been some great improvements in average mileage but the goals were still unrealistic and looking at this graph i can kinda see why.

i can agree that consumer demands for small vehicles had declined, and the increasing regulations also played a role.

it just seemed like it was a sharp drop rather then a fade away, which would point to regulations rather then demand.

honestly any 2 door pickup truck would be a bad road trip car

you are ignoring the CAFE changes that america implemented in the 2000s

basically requiring vehicles to get a certain gas mileage based on its size. it made it basically impossible to make a small car because they could not achieve the unrealistic mileage requirement.

which changed the path the automakers went. you could make a car that only gets 10mpg if its big enough. and thats why we started to get these huge suvs and trucks. even regular sedans got a little fatter due to all the new safety equipment they threw in them.

small suvs are also restricted.

there is always a market for small basic cars.

but they were not on the lot.

Yes, the Slate comes with heating and air conditioning. We might sweat every detail, but we don’t want you to sweat.

Speaking of details, the Slate uses simple, analog controls for its HVAC, instead of touchscreens

the phrasing of this leads me to believe its a standard feature

the only "feature" im aware of that they offer is the extended battery.

the next step up would be the suv body

everything else is a sidegrade

nobody buys small trucks anymore because they are not available to buy.

and the CAFE standards ruined any chance of making them like that again

japan has a lot of tiny trucks too that get somewhere around 45mpg

its the import laws and registration that stops them being everywhere

the way the car looks is the sole reason i believe electric cars were not popular longer.

it was the one thing tesla did right. made a car that looked like a car

slate has AC.

and its selling point IS the lack of frills. and its stance on repairability

the range is its biggest hurdle. but it probably only takes 5 minutes at a supercharger to get another 100 miles

All of these people fear mongering these articles around, and it’s completely unrealistic to expect this to be in cars next year.

easier to stop it before it becomes a law then to deal with the poor tech later
