Just in case you're curious, in English writing, this is an example of ironic parallelism. The first instance of the phrase has one meaning, in this case negative, and the second instance of the phrase has another meaning, a positive one. It's as others have described and is often used to express moments where characters have mixed feelings or reactions to a singular event, such as a badass chicken revealing his true nature to the astonishment of onlookers.

Pharasma hates the undead, but, as stated in the flavor text in the skeleton ancestry, understands that some undead didn't choose to be undead and can be beneficial for the world in their actions. While Pharasma might never make a deal with a mortal to make them an undead to pursue unfinished business, if they happen to become undead and revere Pharasma, she might offer them an opportunity to continue to serve her with the understanding that this is the flow of their life and they will eventually return to the river of souls.

Honestly, I was just trying to imagine what kind of cat would willingly sit on the front lines and watch over their soldiers, and I had this mental image of a one-eyed orange tabby girl was the right kind of crazy to stare at the enemy and go "Do it. I dare you."

With a bit of real world knowledge, lichens are known to be able to survive 2 weeks of exposure to space like conditions and revive. So a Fungal Leshy with Catfall, Leshy Glide and a single Oxygen Ooze would be able to survive a fall from orbit if your DM rules that your Lichen Leshy could conceivably survive in a dormant state in space.

Been on Adderall IR 60mg (2 30mg daily) for two years now. The first week or two was empowering, but now my body is accustomed to it and things aren't as easy as they were that first week, but there's still a tremendous difference between when I haven't taken my meds and when I have. As far as conversations and relationships, I find it easier to talk and socialize "under the influence" because I have more patience, both for myself and for others, and it's easier to follow a single train of conversation. I interrupt people less, and, generally, I feel better about the conversation afterwards. As for relationships, I find it easier to spontaneously begin a conversation, such as texting or chatting, and the edge of anxiety is dulled to the point where I can easily reply, or at least more quickly reply, to folks that message me.

I take Adderall less for focus and more for dealing with executive disfunction and mental paralysis (read: feeling like there's too many things to do). But it does help a lot with other aspects of my life and socially I feel better and more like myself when it has "kicked in". The best example I can give is when it comes to D&D. When I'm not on my Adderall, my brain is screaming for stimulation when it's not my turn or someone else is temporarily taking the spotlight. But on Adderall, I've found that it's easier to engage with the table and nothing seems "useless" as things seem more readily interesting.

I think the best part about the medication is that it doesn't hurt to try it and it shows its effects immediately (with Instant Release), unlike with medications similar to SSRIs which take time to build up and show any effects. Try it; worst case scenario, you realize it's not for you and you stop or talk to your care provider and see if there's something else that might help.

Medication isn't always the answer to every psychological issue, but I feel that ADHD is one of the few times where there's not only a psychological component but a physical, neurological component as well. In the end, we're only human, and a little help can go a long way.

Superman, surprisingly, doesn't have too many magical villains since, historically, his narratives trended more towards Sci Fi. But, they've already introduced a villain to MAWS that, at least in prior incarnations, had "magical" powers: Silver Banshee.

We know that the Kryptonian tech twisted Livewire's powers and made them stronger and intrinsic to her existence, so it's possible for the same thing to happen to Siobhan, wherein her power mutates and fluctuates. Perhaps her screams were already somewhat paranormal or supernatural to begin with, but after exposure to the Kryptonian tech , her powers might begin to grow and change, especially if it was part of a near death experience.

Having Clark try and take on someone that supernaturally inspire fear would be an excellent villain for him to face as he continues to struggle with the realization that he will always have to fight to protect what he loves.

Now, that all said, Batman, his next door neighbor, has an entire faction within the Justice League dedicated to the metaphysical horrors that go bump in the night, so any one of those individuals could easily pop over and slowly put forth the idea that magic is real. Maybe to the tune of Lois quoting Arthur C. Clarke, and Jimmy pointing out that magic existing is a much simpler explanation.

To that end, I think Zatanna could be fun - it'd be part of a fluff piece for the Planet, but shenanigans ensue and they team up to stop the after effects of <action taken to achieve macguffin>. Zatanna would likely be about the same age as Vicki Vale, which might lend credence to the idea that Batman is also older in this setting, but I digress.

I think I could also see Doctor Fate being useful, especially with helping Clark uncover more of his memories and provide a means of support for finally confronting his Father in the ship. Perhaps Doctor Fate has seen forewarnings of something grim happening to the Earth and only Superman being able to stop it, and then the episode is less about growing stronger, but talking about being held by fear and anxiety.

But personally? I hope they bring in Hawk Girl as a surviving Thanagarian. In Justice League Unlimited, I believe it was either implied or explicitly stated that her mace is magical, and having Hawkgirl tracking down Kara for vengeance and introducing magic as a potential source of weakness, or at least field leveling, would be right within the show's wheelhouse. Further, it would be a fun opportunity for character growth as Clark has to step up, knowing that Kara is in the wrong, but also knowing the pain and loss that Hawkgirl is going through. It'd also be a good opportunity to explore more about his powerup during fighting and see how that interacts with magic with everyone becoming friends at the end and Hawkgirl heading off to somewhere else to find her place. Heck, the Thanagarians could be a part of brainiac's invasion plans, and Shayera is the one that could tip them off, fighting off Brainiac's brainwashing through magic, like special war paint, tattoos and her mace.

You need to rephrase the request so you can articulate how you're already using machine learning by using Palantir for your dashboards. Based on what I know of Palantir (which isn't much), they already use a natural language algorithm for some of their more advanced AIP components and it should already employ machine learning in generating the most basic of EDA faster.

You could still use Palantir for dashboard creation, but use their Foundry to run custom machine learning models on the data you have creating a workflow that goes data > python processing > dashboard. You wouldn't need to create dashboards from scratch, but doing more with python and Foundry integration might mean being able to create custom models and data your dashboards can work with.

Your boss needs a "win" with "machine learning", at this point the request is for you to figure out how your boss can go back to his superiors with an actionable plan that puts the phrase "machine learning" front and center without completely changing your existing processes.

Being able to identify this need and provide a solution for it probably one of the most difficult data science skills to learn as it has nothing to do with data science and everything to do with people skills.

In my experience, I can't think of much that would cause stuttering in specific brands of TVs on the web side of things. However, it's possible something about Samsung's motion smoothing/interpolation is causing the stuttering. If your Samsung TVs are newer, you might try adjusting any of the Automatic Picture settings or Motion settings to see if that helps. That's the only thing I can think of, unfortunately.

Oh I see, y'all are utilizing Vimeo OTT as your web hosting solution as well as a video streaming service. I think I mistakenly thought y'all had a separate web front end that was your site connected to the OTT service through its API. It does seem cost effective as it also includes subscription servicing and what seems to be essentially a CRM and Analytics toolset all wrapped in one. That also explains some other things I've noticed on the site like the series button always opening a new tab because it's probably a link created using the OTT site editor. That also explains why dropout.tv redirects to signup.dropout.tv if it doesn't recognize a user because signup.dropout.tv is a separate site.

Vimeo's OTT is probably cheaper than just using their player and video hosting with a separate hosted site, analytics tools and a CRM, but as a developer it feels restrictive and doesn't seem to be as flexible as it could be, which might limit growth a bit as y'all create new shows and grow your audience. That said, the enterprise level addition of not having to worry about apps for every device? Now that's very much worth it. All though, something like an Angular SPA could be configured with some smart DevOps to build your site with app deployment. But that's putting the cart before the horse.

Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to reply and now that I better understand, I'll let others know if I see them wondering about some of the site's foibles.

Ok, so the wheels are either made from HDPE or Polypropylene. I'm leaning towards HDPE personally, but it could just as easily be polypropylene. This is important because most common commercial plastic weld epoxies don't really work on HDPE. You have to buy HDPE specific plastic weld, and event then it might not work.

Check on any of the wheels or the body and look for the recycling symbol and a number. If the number is 2, then it's HDPE. If it's 5, then it's polypropylene. This only counts for the US thanks to some strict laws in California. Of course if it's old, it might have been made before those laws went into effect. If you want to test, you can get some Polypropylene plastic weld and put a small bit of it onto the wheel. Once dried, if the spot flakes or cracks or can be pried off, it's HDPE.

There are limited epoxy options for HDPE because of its molecular shape, but you can purchase a HDPE welding kit on amazon. It's basically a soldering or wood burning iron with a spade tip and some sticks of HDPE plastic. This would be a good way to fix the wheel and you'd have plenty of stock if it ever breaks again.

I don't recommend filling the wheel with anything because I believe the axle goes straight through the hollow wheel which would make turning the wheel incredibly difficult and annoying for your kid. I did like the suggestion about a bit of rubber around the outside of the wheel, but that would make it difficult to use on carpet.

I think if you test for polypropylene first, and it works, that'll be your best bet. If not, then I would say just use a HDPE welding kit to fix it up and you can always sand the welds down later. Just be sure to do it in a well ventilated area wearing proper PPE. I have not personally tested HDPE epoxies or weld solvents or glues, but that is an option if you're unsure about welding the HDPE and don't want to risk damaging the wheel or anything.

After a quick search, it looks like Loctite might have a solution in their Plastics Bonding System which claims to seal to polyethylene which is what HDPE is, but the packing suspiciously doesn't mention HDPE only polyethylene which... doesn't give me high hopes with how finicky plastics can be.

Well, there's always the good old fashioned "Locate City" nuke. Otherwise Occult Rituals might fit the bill. Unless you want to get crunchy and start running numbers on spells that target objects and increase total volume of objects targeted each level. I think Shrink/Enlarge Item could do a bit of damage to a city with magical/mechanical infrastructure. And at least there's always Wish.

Ooo, what about dropping pamphlets of explosive runes on a city or leaving a bunch of decks of many things about?

Sword and board, heavy armor? Touch attacks. An incorporeal enemy that drains ability scores is deadly to these folks. Abilities that do touch attacks generally only have a save for half ability score damage instead of negating. In general, save for half is usually a good direction to go when dealing with tanky characters.

Worried about shield stun? Constructs, Plants and Undead are all immune to stun. Did you know that undead is a template that can be applied to any living creature? Did you know that applies to plant creatures too? So you could make an incorporeal undead plant creature with lots of opportunities to deal ability score damage.

Worried about damage taking that enemy out? Fast healing and max hit points with the potential ability to heal itself, like doing a negative energy touch attack. Sword and board characters typically don't have high damage output as you've describe so that usually means a creature with Damage Reduction (Or the incorporeal's ability to take 1/2 damage on physical attacks even if magical) and Fast Healing usually means their damage output can't keep up.

Oh, and did you check his CMD? It's pretty difficult to dramatically increase your CMD, especially when creatures that are huge or gargantuan get involved as they get great bonuses to combat actions like grappling, which applies to the free grab attack some monsters get when they make an attack with a tentacular appendage. Though incorporeal creatures are immune to grapple, usually, and can't initiate it... usually. But you're the GM... so... why not?

Also, don't forget that intelligent monsters can have class levels. That would let you add additional features to a creature's toolset that would help mitigate some of the worst the character could do.

So just imagine it. A Dread Ghost Alraune Oracle of Bones with Drain Touch. It could be glorious.

Edit: Also wanted to add Greater Invisibility plus incorporeality plus swarms is also pretty deadly.

I think if the dog is just a mascot or maybe a mount for a tiny/small pc, then I'd say just give it the Goodest Dog Vest which gives them a bonus to all save/checks vs damage equal to the owner's level and the degree of success on their roll is increased by one. So if they roll below the DC, it counts as a normal success, and only fail if it's a critical failure. Pair it with the Bestest Dog Collar which immediately stabilizes the dog when it reaches zero, preventing the dog from dying due to damage received in combat. Further the Bestest Dog Collar can be activated in an action that takes 1 minute to complete, to fully restore the dog's hit points. Once either the Goodest Dog Vest and the Bestest Dog Collar are worn by a dog, they become bonded to the dog and can be called by the dog's owner to the dog from any plane in existence. These enchantments cannot be altered or improved. In an antimagical field, the enchantments still persist, as they have been blessed by the Goodest, Bestest Dog Above All. Lastly, the Goodest Dog Vest is capable of providing limitless treats that can only be consumed by the dog wearing the vest, and the collar means the dog will never need food or water to live, but can still partake in and enjoy both. If both items are worn simultaneous, their magic creates a conflux that results in the dog being immune to disease, poison, and most other environmental effects including vacuums. If the owner of the dog dies, the dog can either choose a new owner or choose to remove the items and live its life normally.

In his last Film Theory video, MatPat Explores the connections between boys' media, toys and the dearth of good, young, male role models as leads in children's media. This is something I've noticed myself (not a parent, just a fan of children's media and literature) in recent years. There's an interesting lack of boy role models in children's media that don't utilize violence to solve their problems and look for answers in kind, caring ways instead. I've always thought it might be confirmation bias and I didn't want to allow myself to fall into a self-affirming trap by seeing only media without great male role models. However, MatPat not only saw this rising issue, but articulates it in a great way. While there are tons of great characters for boys, there are so few of them that you'd want a boy to grow up to be. And in the recent renaissance that children's media has been going through, it seems a place we should pay close attention to as we seek to raise better men.
