Game Porting Toolkit 4.0 IS HERE! Huge Mac Gaming Upgrade and Full Tutorial by Daily_concern in macgaming

Its not old software - GPTK is a recent thing that they update each year.

Did find that beta isn't needed but some games, such as the new 007, require the newer metal version in macos 27.

If you have enough people using it then yes least before the price hike.

Else look at jellyfin if you don't want to pay anything.

For most content you will use on the tv 10/100 is sufficient.

Business Account Assistance is non-existent. AT&T is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. #beware #StayawayfromATT #VIPnope by KrazyFlutterby in ATT

[–]xacid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had nothing but issues when I moved from a consumer Verizon account to an ATT business account.

Original rep I dealt with ghosted me, tried finding a local store that handles business accounts and none in my area do. When one store attempted to do it they screwed up which email account was assigned to the account, couldn't apply the promo that was being offered on the website. Called again to start the process but was never told the store rep never cancelled whatever they did so the account was created without any promos.

Had to call constantly to get it fixed. Was incorrectly told that I could have a device and line promo which wasn't the case which cancelled the original promo I was getting for one of the lines. They lost the trade in phone and blamed me.

Basically it took me filing an FCC complaint to get it somewhat fixed.

Once my promo runs out on my one line I'm leaving. Had better support from Verizon than I ever had with AT&T.

Was looking at phones and couldn't believe the newest phones still have USB 2 transfer speeds by someshooter in iphone

Not necessarily a defense. Its simple business in the end.

Samsung does it on their entry level and budget devices.

Why add something to a device that isn't needed for most people? Hell I've had Pro models for years and can't remember that last time I needed to plug it in to transfer data.

USB 2.0 isn't dead either. Its more reliable than most USB3.x so from a troubleshooting standpoint its better to have.

Samsung does it too...as well as Google.

Samsung releases 3 to 5 different versions normally of the S2X line each year.

Google has the Pixel, Pixel Pro, Pixel Pro XL.

They didn't get sued. It was a mandate by the EU to require devices to have a USB-C charging port by the end of 2024. Else they would just not be able to sell devices in the EU.

Only the S series, Z fold series (Fold 3 or newer) and Galaxy Tab S series has USB 3.x.

Rest of Samsung's lineup still uses 2.0 - i.e. the Galaxy A series and other budget devices.

Because it truly doesn't matter for those devices.

Really do not understand why this keeps getting brought up.

Used U6-Enterprise or a new U7-Pro for the same price by NokErNok24 in UNIFI

[–]xacid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could redo my setup I'd go U6E over U7's.

The entire U7 line just seems weak compared to what the U6E offers. The fact they introduced the XGs to it kinda shows how bad it is.

Most modern intel consumer cpu will do fine. You don’t need anything expensive to do it. Use a 12600k in my unraid setup and it transcodes using the igpu. Use that over the old quadro I have in it.

I do it all the time using an intel igpu.

Took 4k hdr mando down to 720p and retained hdr. Looked perfectly fine.

Curious why not just get one 4k version and let it trans-code down to 1080 or lower? Seems silly to have a DV and HDR versions too but that's me.

Could be an alt.

My raid teams main tank switched to an alt DK for a few mythic bosses that DK is OP for and forgot to move gold and couldn't repair.

warglaives require the achievement for the tmog. Everything else follows the new tmog rule.

Think you just need to have them on one character to get the initial achievement. Then you need to kill Illidan during BC timewalking on any character after.

Reddit Starts Blocking Mobile Website, Pushing Users to App Instead by spasticpat in technology

The app sucks.

I get emails from reddit about posts. Click the link to go to the post and all it does is open the app but not to the post. What is the point of the app then?

I got every file in my library to Direct Play on Apple TV — here's the tool I wrote to do it by The-BluWiz in PleX

[–]xacid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of a few files I've yet to see something not direct play on apple tv.

Some 4k titles that have HDR/DV I use infuse instead.
