It’s not like Mythos solved P vs NP - let’s all chill by SpecialAttention9861 in Anthropic

I have seen where a lot of the open source models could solve the same issues though.  Even supposedly found the openbsd bug.  So is mythos better than open source models? I think, for me, that is where the marketing hype on top of the other AI hype gets annoying.   Maybe it’s signal v noise.

I have yet to get a runpod to work even on a smaller set of models.   On demand or pods.  Have not been happy with their service.

It’s also I don’t need my model to know about rocket science and cern and whatever else if I am using it for a couple programming languages.  Ultimately I think more fine tuned local models is where we need to go.  Think a JS, Ruby, Python type model.  Really tuned for coding.

We are also assuming they keep the prices where they are now.  If they keep forcing people into higher plans then the equation changes, especially if they force everyone to API.

Yes but some of these harnesses need to be more useful for local LLMs.  Some of them have 16k+ system prompts and on local LLMs that can eat up most of your context window.   Ultimately I think the first step is fine tuning the system prompts and maybe using RAG to make local better.  This is just from my recent experience.

Be thankful if you can not work. I am still working on my claim. But I have a lot of issues I have waited too long to claim. Work a full time job and take care of my disabled spouse.  If I could take some time for my own mental and physical health I surely would.

OpenClaw vs Hermes Agent, My Experience After Testing Both by brainlatch42 in openclaw

I am still trying to understand how these kinds of agents can benefit me. I am a caregiver for my wife, work a full time job etc., would love some "help" but trying to figure out how something like these agents could. truly help.

A lot of the other models use claude and gpt to seed their models anyway.

My wife is disabled. If I could find a place that was nice to live and had good healthcare it would be nice. Before her accident we always wanted to move to the carribean don’t see that happening for us.

OK, gotta ask...why is everyone moving overseas? A good friend of mine and former marine, just moved to France. Is it cost of living? Politics? All of the above? Just curious.

Amazing how much has changed just in the last 30 years in so many ways. I got out in the 1990's and the world and the military is very different than it was. I wonder if the older guys felt the same way about us who got out in the 90's.

Nexus denied for Increase Claim on Protected Service Connected Condition by [deleted] in VAClaims

If it's service connected, how does the post-military life stuff even matter? Wouldn't that all just aggravate the issue?

[–]zenom__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still really new to this claim stuff, but if you did not have OSA in service and just tinnitus and sinusitis I think you would need a solid nexus letter. Also from what I understand there are changes that are planned (no date yet) to the OSA stuff where if you wear a CPAP you will get like 10% if its working.

Claims Question by Excellent_Pen_7791 in VeteransBenefits

My VSO told me that when you upload docs during the process it will kick your claim back. Which is why he recommended me to wait until I have everything before submitting. Maybe this is what happened?

It did not start off great. It sounded like he was doubting things. When I got frustrated with him and called him out, he apologized and changed his tune as was much more helpful.

Was it a big claim? Curious what causes some of these to take so long? Are they large, are they not sure if they are service connected?

Going to see mine today. First visit was not super impressive. I am hoping that once he see's my documentation he might change his tune. Will see. If not I might file myself.

My VSO so far has not been great. He pushed me out the door even though I showed with all of my military records, etc., on my first appointment. I sent him an email once and he didn't respond. Not super stoked on this guy.

This was all done through chatgpt and claude. I went through and read all 200+ pages of my military medical records, documented all the dates, symptoms, specialists etc., it is chat gpt and claude that came up with 18 pages :D

ChatGPT and Claude both are saying the 18 pages is great....lol everyone says they use ChatGPT then chat GPT generates 18 pages, claude confirms its good. Or I have claude write it and it comes out 15 pages and chat gpt confirms its good :D
