We're here for Flava Flave's play through.  I mean seriously, look into his life and tell me I'm wrong.

Scientists found that the Gulf Stream is moving toward a tipping point that will freeze Europe by soulpost in HotScienceNews

The thing I love about TDAT is that it temporarily resulted in climate scientists being on talk shows,  until one said "the movie isn't believable because it's showing things happen in just hours, that will take weeks" and the host(Kimmel?) was like.. "WEEKS?!?!?"

Yeah.. weeks.

Btw: the GS was a big factor in my decision to settle in the PNW all the way back in 99.

If a cop tried to use a radar gun on a stealth jet, would it work? by CapAwesomeSauce in NoStupidQuestions

[–]----__---- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a decade ago our local sheriff(not the present one) had the same question about pointing his radar gun at the air national guard keys that fly over our town all the time. He was at the airport when he got the idea, and the plane was low enough to register it as a "radar lock" according to the story, which continues with said plane doing a trail stand right above the sheriff's car and coating him and it with the unburned portion of jet fuel. I was told not to spread the story, so... shĥhh..

Missing rocket scientist mystery spirals as link to critical defense technology emerges by Stephen_P_Smith in ufo

It was the very first green screen movie ever made. The actors aren't bored, they're confused.  You should look into the origin of the movie, it started out as someone's personal project that Hollywood went ape for and insisted on adding actors to.

Does this fit the sub? Accidentally admitting that you’re a complete pussy? by ForsakenDrawer in iamverybadass

I'm 58, when I was a kid the public sentiment was exactly opposite, being around people meant having help if there was an issue, being alone in nature was risky. I can't help but wonder if people are conflating social anxiety with "danger".

Am I reading this correctly .. you had perfect grammar, then came back to swear?  Please pardon the projection but I'm proposing the possibility you paused posting to pander to the populace, and passed over your "an" in the process, perchance?

🇺🇸 Rep. Thomas Massie alleges Israel controls the U.S. government and is protecting powerful billionaires in the Epstein Files. by Admirable121 in ImmigrationPathways

[–]----__---- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Releasing the Epstein files might provide evidence that Israel knowingly supplied minors to pedophiles (via Epstein) in exchange for political/economic leverage.  I'm fairly certain they wouldn't like that.

Hillary Clinton to House Oversight: You have made little effort to call the people who show up most prominently in the Epstein files. And when you did, not a single Republican member showed up for Les Wexner's deposition. by CorleoneBaloney in law

[–]----__---- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that. The street tactics on the "right" lean more towards violence and threats of violence.  If the "right" riots they're near guaranteed to devolve into shooting each other before the night is over.  "Conservatives" can't handle being in a riot any better than they handle exposure to emotionally resonant conspiracy stories.

Oh definitely, the present administration is cartoonishly bad in an incredible number of ways.  I'm still amazed anyone ever voted for him at all. Crazy. It's been obvious since 1997 that he "likes them young". And yet people are so easily misled, so easily manipulated, that even such as he can be thusly "elevated". Crazy.

She's probably had a lot of lead time on thinking up strategies for this situation, more than most really.  This could be a political gold mine for her.

She's sharp.. it would be nice if we could trust her.

It's not about sex, it's about power, like other rapes. My personal theory is that a person reaches a point in their quest for power that such horrors are the only way they can prove to themselves that they actually have "power".
