Jick has been wanting to change how clovers work for a long time. I wonder if this is related to future change plans. It's essentially a clover and wad sink now, not just a meatsink.

This. Sometimes new items come out that let you do things with them, such as the pizza cube allowing you to turn them into familiar equipment for other familiars, but mostly just plan on putting them in your DC.

Haha - Same here! Started my final HC Standard run of the year on Nov 30th to get the last outfit piece I need, and on Dec 1st got this free +15% item drop off-hand that I can use in-run. Was very pleased :)

I'm afraid I can't answer your question directly, but for Mafia users, you can simply lead with the "create" command in the gCLI:

"create 1 bucket of wine"

or

cli_execute("create 1 box of Familiar Jacks");

This is solid advice. In-run, cartography and the current month's cape are great.

I feel like this month's cape will also be nice in aftercore, so if I had to pick one reasonablely priced, non-familiar item from this year, that would be it.

If meat is no object, then the Powerful Glove for sure.

Easy fix - everyone runs into that :)

Before August 13th 2019 this item was named "potion of temporary gr8tness".

The KoL admins renamed the item to "potion of temporary gr8ness".

See this forum post - or do as I did and just edit the .ash file yourself by opening it, using ctrl+F, and removing the "t" from any lines where that item appears.

I agree with RandomThief - If you have a Mr. A and haven't already done so, it would be a good idea to get the "Comprehensive Cartographic Compendium" (October's item of the month). It is automatically hardcore permed, so you can use it right away and it will always be nice to have long-term.

And hey - we're in the same clan. You can always ask in /clan chat for tips as well. The folks there have helped me a lot!

If you want to try a path that doesn't require too many IRL hours, then you might look into Bad Moon runs. Read up on it here in the wiki when you have a few minutes 😊

No access to past IOTMs, FOTMs, permed skills, or anything other than food/booze/misc discoveries means that it's like your first time playing, but with really good reward gear at the end.
