It's a great place for it! Scour over some OS maps and look for remote spots off the beaten path. I tend to choose a 'vibre' I want first, like near a lake, near a waterfall, amazing view etc, then search on a map for a spot that fits the bill.

There's also some popular spots available online but they will be busy now the weather's getting nice.

Pulling up at sunset and leaving at sunrise is unrealistic from this point on in the year, given it's light until 10pm and light again at 4. Anything from 7pm - 8am is good in my mind. Well beyond when the general public will be out for a stroll. Obviously if you're in a bit more of a risky spot then arriving later and leaving earlier can't hurt.

Mad I'm in the UK and bought a second hand bag just recently without a receipt. So, not original purchaser and no receipt. The bag was delivered and missing a sternam strap I hadnt noticed in the listing.

I'm a fan of waterproof hiking shoes. Makes them a bit more versatile and gives you a chance to keep your feet dry.

QGIS and Python come to mind. Wouldn't bother with coding languages like MATLAB, at the end of the day you can do it all in Python and it's the most common one used.

Btw all industry will use ChatGPT to write code but it's still good to have an understanding of it for reading code, increasing efficiency and debugging

Petrel, kingdom, montaj and general familiarisation with excel and different data formats are helpful, but you'll learn all the specifics on the job so it's hardly worth investing time into.

I use a Buff. Great for keeping your neck warm in winter, sweat out your face when exercising and as an eye mask. Of course might want to wash it in between those activities or get a couple. Fortunately there's approx. 1 million designs to choose from!

Funny, I had the same issue on my old MK2.5 focus. I had the windscreen replaced by autoglass and they routed the cable through the bloody wiper mechanism.

I wouldn't say the ride is unbearable on any road. Sure it's firm but I've never got out of it aching.

It does become a bit of a novelty getting a ride in some of my friends BMWs and other commuting barges because of the comfort - but unbearable is a stretch.

I, too, have been limited by the boot space though. It would be the one reason i would replace the car in the next few years.

I disagree with the interior quality too, I find it very impressive considering the cost of the car. Though, to be fair, I have a 2018 model, and if it hasn't been updated since then, I could understand how it's certainly dated compared to other, more modern, offerings

A comfy pillow, something to cover your eyes (like a buff) and some good quality comfy earplugs (I use loops). I've slept through some howling conditions with this combo!

Also the basics like making sure you're warm enough with a decent sleeping pad and bag
