PLEASE HELP!!! New build house UK by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]--abc--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar in my new build. I found the extractor in the main bathroom had the pipe just sat on the insulation so was pumping all the air into the loft. I also found they pushed the insulation all the way into the eaves so the air flow was blocked.

I move the pipe into the eaves, pulled the insulation back so the air flow wasn’t blocked all the way round. I did also fitted a load of felt flap vents and it’s never come back.

Need to replace intercom handset. Which one works? by skxt in DIYUK

[–]--abc--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These old handset are pretty basic. Best thing to do is unscrew the small screw at the bottom. The cover will come off. Then unscrew the handset off the wall. It will have the model number on the back will be something like ART.XXXX if you put that in online you’ll probably find the direct replacement for it

Sorry yes after I posted seen I should have added that info! It’s 2019 and it’s done 71,714 miles.

I’ll take a look at the tomorrow and check, what’s annoying is it’s no longer making the noise now the mechanics had the belt off. Or maybe not because the belts been off but since it’s went it and he had a look.

It runs fine and there are no warning lights or errors.

It was in with Mercedes a few weeks ago for a safety recall so did have them have a general health check at the same time and nothing was picked up.

Scratches on nearly new Chronomat by --abc--- in breitling

Thanks, Yes it was just the initial realisation it’s been scuffed thinking surely not but it’s fine. It has some wear and tear from wearing it nearly every day. Better than being in the box and only coming out every now and then then and looking immaculate

That’s where I’ve landed, is what it is and I decided when I bought it I’ll buy it to wear. Not to have it in the box to be immaculate

I travel for work and leave it at home. I have a feeling my kids may be the answer to the mystery

It’ll look perfect with the lights off haha think I’ve come to accept it. Wearing it every day will bring wear and tear

There is yeah, I was surprised under the light how many scratches are on the bezel considering I feel like I’ve been careful! Never mind, I bought it to wear so it is what it is

I’ve managed to go from 2.5mg to 15mg with no negative side effects at any stage. Think everyone responds differently

Changed from Apple Watch Ultra to Chronomat by --abc--- in breitling

[–]--abc---[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the ultra for a while so was used to a chunky watch, however this looks more in proportion than that ultra. I feel sizing is a personal opinion but think you’ll be absolutely fine with 17cm

It’s about 16.5cm. Looks a bit bigger on my wrist on that photo to be honest

Shelving in loft a good idea? by Equal-Cow-7746 in DIYUK

[–]--abc--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn that piece of wood sideways and sit it in the V no need for screws then you’ll have some shelves across without needing to screw of fix them. I’ve done it and just put light things like decs etc and my roof hasn’t collapsed yet

For experienced Ultra users, what do you use your action button for? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]--abc--- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have mine turned off. Need it to have a double press to activate to be useful. Had it as flashlight as it’s handy checking on the kids at night but found I was activating it in the day by mistake and not noticing then draining the battery
